Why We Like The Osprey Raptor 14L Backpack
Designed for the needs of mountain bike fanatics, the Osprey Raptor 14 Hydration Pack offers innovative storage for riders ditching the city for the sweet solitude and sizzle of singletrack. This premium hydration pack includes a 2.5-liter Hydraulics LT reservoir for ample hydration when we're completing sweltering desert epics or cruising through vast swaths of deciduous forest. The BioStretch harness wraps our shoulders and hips with mesh-covered foam for a contoured fit, and Atilon foam embedded into the frame bolsters support while facilitating active movement on our bike.
Decked out with functional storage, the Raptor 14 features a stretch-mesh front compartment that's large enough for spare layers, a riding jacket, packed lunch, and other bulky items. Zippered hip belt pockets offer handy access to riding snacks and trail nutrition, as well as accommodating smaller must-have items. Another impressive feature is the removable roll-top tool compartment, which allows for simple repairs when we're miles from civilization. Other cool features include a blinking light attachment and Osprey's innovative LidLock helmet carrier.

This was a gift for
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a gift for my nephew. I’ve owned my Raptor 14 pack for 5 years of heavy use. Simply put, it’s my top goto pack. The bite valve wears out over time, but is easily remedied with a Osprey replacement valve. I love this pack because it’s big enough to haul ample of water for long rides and carry warm clothing for when the sun drops and you have a long (and cold) descent back home.

I recently tried the raptor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the raptor 14 update. This pack has some very cool new features that set it apart from the older edition. The hydration bag connection to the pack itself has a slip and lock feature that makes the hanger secure, and the tube and bite valve are ported through a zipper sleeve to the user. A continuous stretch pocket runs along the exterior of the pack that allows for small and large gear to be tightened down with a cinch down pull strap. A roll out tool bag that can also be handy for first aid. This bag is definitely the brain child of an active user.

I’m very happy with the
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very happy with the Raptor 14. I’ve used several different backpacks before, but none have felt as secure and lightweight, even when carrying a lot of gear.

Love the pack, very comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the pack, very comfortable even when riding my bike. One thing I would like is for it to be a bit more space (maybe 18L or 20L). Otherwise, very nice pack.

Fits nicely, good compartments, tube too short
Love the way it fits, I primarily use this as a day hiking bag just because I prefer the fit on the shoulders as a tall woman. There are plenty of good storage options. The one issue is the hydration tube is too short and pokes me a bit in the neck and if I bend over / squat down to look at stuff, it pops off the magnet. Especially if I have it packed rather full. Also when the bladder is full it sits a bit pear shaped and I get pretty sweaty at the low back

Buyers remorse
I bought this when I rode my bike from Vancouver (Canada) to Seattle over a weekend. While I did have a 5L frame bag I was stuck between a handle bar bag, seat bag or a small backpack for the extra supplies I needed to bring. While I finally decided on this because I might be able to use it for more than just biking, the price tag and thought of wearing a backpack for hours was giving my buyers remorse before I even got home… I took out the hydration bladder to fit everything more snug to my back and also tried to keep it light with clothes, cash, cards, passport, first-aid, and bike tools, I did have to load it up with extra hydration bottles on the outside so it still had a bit of weight (maybe 4 or 5 kg) - I didn't really notice it for the back to back 130km rides! It far exceeded my expectations for comfort and ability to adapt to what I needed to pack. This is a great addition on top of the other bicycle bags for your bike tours or if you want a really comfortable, well made, in-between small and medium backpack. Such a good bag I even wrote a review! Do wish it came with a rain cover though for the price *

Best mtb pack I've ever used.
I use it every time I go mountain biking. I will never take a trip without it. Just bought one for my wife too. It's comical that the other review says the drink tube is too short...it's not lol. The person probably had the tube setup wrong. I don't know what they expect, a garden hose to drink from? All in all its the best mtb pack I've ever had the pleasure of using.

Good backpack but the drinking tube is disappointingly short
The bag itself is great. The drinking tube is disappointingly short for anybody over 180cm and a bit of a chest, and apparently it's not possible to order a longer one. Also a bit of a miss, the excess of the straps can't be tied up, so they flap around when at speed or when there's wind.
