Savu 5
I’ve had the Savu 5 for about 2 years of riding 3 times a week. I never ride without it! Material is durable and the zippers still work like new. There is enough storage for a mid ride PB&J along with a spare tube, plugs, tool kit and small pump. All you need to go for a ride and come back from the ride. I would buy another but just don’t need to yet. Definitely recommend.

Have not had the chance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have not had the chance to use the pack yet. I have had the time to try it on and get comfortable with it. Has lots of room for miscellaneous small tools, snacks phone. The bottle holders work and fit my 2 bottles well. Have to give high marks for the added back support, very comfortable. Quality of the pack is really nice. I plan to use it for many years to come.

Savu blue!
Great little pack so far. I purchased this little hip pack for bikepacking, and it’s just what I needed. I don’t like leaving valuables, such as money, wallet, ID, and a few other smaller things on the bike, so this allows me to carry those things on my person without adding too much weight to the saddle. The other feature I really like is the option to carry two extra water bottles when necessary and I found those also work well to carry a tool kit or my MSR fuel bottle. The zippers work well, the bright blue color makes it easy to find in the dark, and it stays put on my hips. I would buy this again.

A quality pack for riding and hiking
I have have had this hip pack for 3 years and use it in on a regular basis in the often rainy Pacific North West. I have not had any issues with the pack at all. The zippers have worked flawlessly from day one. It carries two bottles and the necessities for a 4hour ride with ease. It is really comfortable and adjustable. On the days where I don't need the bottle storage, it is awesome that the carriers are collapsible and you can cinch down the pack to form fit your torso. The two small hip zipper pocket are handy for food and keys. I've carried water bottles and bear spray in the ""bottle holders"". To improve the pack, I would suggest adding elastic cordage on the back side to strap a rolled up jackets, etc. Also if there were attachment loops to attach a holder for bear spray, it would be a great improvement. Another improvement would be to have one of the hip pockets lined and made larger to carry a decent size phone. This would make carrying a phone for communication and photos much easier and safer/secure than in my riding shorts. Another small improvement would be to have a pass through hole in the large compartment. This can be used to allow the power cable for a battery for night riding lights to be passed through a centered location on the pack. Again I am really impressed with this pack and feel I made a good decision with my purchase. To me, it would be head and shoulders above others with a few improvements.

Impressively versatile
This is my go to everyday pack from bustling around to commutes, day hikes and 6+ hours ride when you just need to carry the essentials and some extra. The major pro of this bag is it's versatility (which somehow when unadvertised) in my opinion, especially with the highly adjustable compression strap and bottle flaps which enables me to carry varying size of loads externally (I carried rain jackets, tube-shaped speaker, knee pads, shoes, and even a 2L dry bag). The bottle sleeve itself is fine although I have a difficulty at getting the bottle back in the sleeve while on the bike. Second thing, this is easily one of the most comfortable bum bag I've ever tried. It's even comfortable as a makeshift shoulder bag just by untightening the compression straps and tightening the front strap on the shouldered side so the front strap doesn't dig into your trapezius (another point added to versatility). And lastly, I love the compartment organization, which comprised of main compartment with two tool mesh pockets (I used this for my power bank, charger, medium snacks/small meal, inner tube, and bike tools), phone pocket and two pockets (filled it with snacks, electrolyte tabs and a mini wallet). Just a minor pet peeve with this bag, when I used standard folding wallet it's hard to load my plus sized phone to the pocket with the wallet in the main compart but that's more of my problem than the bag's problem and I solved it since by changing to mini card-sized wallet. Overall this is a great bag which I will definitely recommend for a friend looking for a bum bag for cycling and short /minimalist hike.

Loving it!
I've been using this on mountain bike rides from 1 to over 3 hours, and it's been fantastic. This is an extremely versatile hip pack. I can use one bottle on my frame and two in this pack for long rides, or fold down the water bottle sleeves (they get really small) on short rides, just using a bottle on my frame and only using the pack for other items. This thing is extremely adjustable, and the water bottle sleeves can virtually disappear if you unsnap the rigid parts, fold them flat, and adjust the straps. Most times (~2 hour rides) I fold one sleeve down, keeping one bottle on my frame, and one in this pack. This is extremely comfortable, and you forget it's even there while you ride. This hip pack carries extremely well, even on my smaller frame and narrow hips. I really do forget it's there. I can move around really freely and don't feel restricted like I do with even a good back pack. The main compartment fits small tools (think plug kit, small pump, tire levers, etc.), snacks, and even a pretty big first aid kit, and that is not really a tight fit - I have room for more stuff. The hip pockets hold lots of snacks and stuff, and the small ""flat"" pouch (close to the body) is perfect for my wallet and car keys (a phone would fit great too, even a BIG phone). It carries a lot more than I expected. My only (very minor!) issue is that one of my zippers is a little hard to zip where it makes a bend. This is a common issue I've had with any gear where the zipper makes a sharp turn, and it's not enough to detract from my experience using the pack. If I don't need a jacket or anything bulky on my ride, this is my go-to pack now, and I don't see that changing. It's so comfortable and versatile. Others have told me that it even looks great, and I think a few of them are planning on trying this setup out now. Thanks Osprey, this pack has improved my mountain bike riding experience way more than I expected!
