I grabbed this to wear
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I grabbed this to wear at a race versus my backpack so I had more airflow. It fits great and is easy to cinch down to keep it from flopping after drinking some water out. Excellent product. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little pack. Simple and functional. Wish there was shove-it pockets or bunnies for attaching clothes to the outside. Cinch straps don’t seem to do anything.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mountain biking pack! Not too big but just enough room for water, bike tools, a tube and a few snacks.

Excellent warm weather biking bag
Fits like a glove, holds the essentials, has room on the strap to attach a small camera case, does not get particularly hot, thanks to air flow construction. Used on a bike tour of Cambodia (85-95 degrees F) and on day rides in New York (40-50 degrees F). Never used it as a hydration pack. Removed the bladder immediately. Instead carried sunglasses, large smartphone, snacks, small tube of sunscreen, passport, cash, electrolyte drink mix packets, bike multitool.

Great Pack!
This pack is great for short excursions. While it is a biking pack, I use mine for short hikes and snowshoeing. It has been awesome to use while recovering from a shoulder injury. It has enough room for water, snacks, and small essentials. I moved the mouthpiece closer to the belt buckle because it would disconnect from the magnet constantly when you move your arms. Also, a mesh pocket in the front would be great to quickly stash and access a cell phone. My biggest disappointment with this pack is the lack of a reservoir cleaning kit. It is very inconvenient to clean the small reservoir and dry it out. I end up using multiple reusable straws to poke into the reservoir to keep it open and allow air flow and get it dry. Would love to see a proper drying rack.

Not a fan
I have five Osprey packs and have had others in the past. None have disappointed until the Seral 4. Most disturbing, the taste from the hydration pac is unbearable. The company advised my to fill it with water and lemon juice and freeze it. One, this should not be necessary, two, if they have the solution then they know they have a problem, and three, it didn't work. Many washes and soaks later it is tolerable with a drink mix but not with plain water. The hydration pac also is also very awkward, is sectioned oddly, is difficult to get into the pack, and doesn't fit well. And if it's full, there is very little space left in the pack. The pack itself is ok, but there is a very low volume pack. Water, a snack, keys, and a phone is about it. Perhaps very limited repair gear. Advantage: low on the back so low center of gravity and not hot in the summer. This does create a very long hydration tube and a somewhat awkward attachment system for that. I may use this some but will likely go back to my full size back hydration pack.

Great size but lacks the ideal tube output
Love this lumbar waistpack for the size, comfort and zipper pocket but there is a key missing feature to allow proper hose management - a purposeful opening to enable the hydration system tubing to emerge from the pack without leaving the zipper pocket open. The 'updated' magnetic coupling fails to hold the tube in place which results in frequent dangling down. Taking a page from hiking backpacks would have this elevated this design and usability. Not worth the price tag.

Right equipment for the job
I purchased the Seral 4 for mountain biking. I was looking for a hydration pack that could carry the necessary fluids and have room for the essentials; keys, cell phone, small assortment of tools and some type of power bar. The Seral 4 is quite accommodating, not overly big or bulky. I have been using the pack for over three months and have zero issues. The perfect bag for my one/ two hour ventures on the bike.
