Why We Like The Osprey Soelden 32L Backpack
Looks can be deceiving, and although Osprey's Soelden 32 Backpack boasts a sleek, minimalist-looking style, it's fully featured for backcountry skiing, snowboarding, and touring. The front panel delivers quick access to necessary avalanche gear like a probe and shovel, and the back access allows you to reach the main compartment with skis or a snowboard still strapped to the pack. The harness and waist belt are both adjustable and have EVA foam padding, and the Soelden uses a 2.5mm LightWire frame and a frame sheet to balance the load on our backs. The pack's front panel features ski or snowboard carry straps, an ice tool attachment, and sled carry loops. The Soelden is fabricated from water-resistant materials with snow-shedding padding at the back, shoulder straps, and waist belt.

Great pack that needs some improvements
Splitboarder here. Overall, this is a great pack. All the main stuff needed is there from avy section to helmet stash to radio routing to the important and appreciated Osprey carry comfort & fit. However a couple things need improvement to make this into a highly recommendable pack for fellow splitboarders: (1) My biggest complaint: lower A-frame carry straps do not fit most split skis, so we are relegated to the vertical carry only which I, and many of us, do not prefer. So the lower straps needs more adjustability range to fit split skis. (2) The straps need more sewn gear attachment points. My radio clipped to the one attachment point ends up being nearly on top of the shoulder rather than in front/on my chest where it's more easily accessible. I end up fumbling around to find the radio and button. Perhaps slightly longer straps as well. (3) The hip belts could be a bit bigger, along with a wider/more substantial webbing belt and buckle. Pockets on both sides would be preferable, and can still keep the gear loop on one side along with a zippered pocket. (4) Side zipper access to main compartment. (5) Lastly as a bonus as icing on the cake, an external water bottle pocket and a little more padding on the back panel.

I love this pack. It’s
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pack. It’s my mtb trail building pack. I can fit my sawing helmet in the little helmet spot. Which is great. Tons of room! Just enough pockets. I really dig the hip pocket. I find the quality to be super durable. Almost to a fault because the only annoying thing is sometimes the zipper on the main pouch can be a B to zip. I think it’s because the frame and probably what you would want for a zipper there, toughness. No big really. Glad I went the osprey route!

LOVE
I have been using this pack for my snowboarding trips this season, and so far, I LOVE IT! This particular gold and black pack is such a good-looking pack. I love how the main compartment is on the back side rather than the front. So, when I need to put my belongings in and out of the pack, snow doesn't get on me. It's very comfortable and meets all my needs as far as what I need it for.

Great pack
I've put 200k vertical on my Soelden in the backcountry. I use Drift boards and carry my solid board on all uphill, so my main priority is how effectively the pack carries a board, and then organization is a close second. I haven't found a pack yet that absolutely perfect in every detail, but this checks most of the boxes. Durability is top notch, I think most people could get one of these and never buy another pack again (but Osprey will take care of you if anything came apart anyway,) I use Osprey for mountain biking and travel as well. Hard to beat.

suspicious
This looks exactly like the Black Diamond Dawn Patrol pack, suspiciously so. Minor differences maybe, but it looks like you just slapped an Osprey logo on the Dawn Patrol pack. If I was Black Diamond I would maybe get my legal department involved.
