I bought a 60L Sojourn
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a 60L Sojourn Wheeled travel pack for my wife to test the design and it exceeded all of our expectations. I just purchased the 80L for myself. We are taking them to Europe for about 3 months next year. This is a for real backpack!! It wouldn't be my first choice to take into the back country but I could if it was all I had. The suspension, straps and waste belt perform just like a regular internal frame pack. I can also take a small daypack and strap it into the external synch straps when in backpack mode or stack it on top when dragging it in roller bag mode. When stowed for roller bag mode the large wheels and rugged design work great on uneven surfaces. It will probably do fine on cobblestones but if not, it only takes me three minutes to convert to a pack. The interior pockets are also well thought out. My wife used hers for about 2 months on a road trip and it was easy to keep things organized. While not cheap it is a super good deal when you look at the performance, features and the "All Mighty Guarantee"! Osprey can afford to do that because they build packs that don't fail. We are still using Osprey backcountry packs that are 25 years old and going strong.

The backpack straps take up too much room
I returned this pack because the backpack straps take up entirely too much room. I compared it in person to the design of the 100L duffel without the backpack straps, and the difference if very substantial If you're buying a 60L or 80L rolling duffel, you will very, very rarely find yourself using the backpack straps. If Osprey made the 60L or the 80L with the 100L's and 130L's non-backpack design, I would but it in an instant. The Soujourn bags are VERY well built. I own the 46L travel pack and it has held up to a lot of abuse. It's too bad that Sojourn designed the 60L and 80L duffels for the sliver of users that would want backpack straps on a bag that size.

I've used various versions of
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used various versions of the bag and they are incredibly durable and the double compression strap design adds to the ruggedness. Would really like to see a version without the backpack straps though, so that space on the back could be added to the interior. It's 80L total but some of the space isn't very usable since the back pocket with the straps is included so compared to other 80L bags, it's less spacious considering its external dimensions.

Love this bag! It is
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this bag! It is extremely well built and a great option for travelers wanting more size than some of the backpacks designed with minimalism in mind. The wheels are smooth and the backpack carry option is comfortable. I’m 6 feet tall and it fits great, but I do imagine it being a little large and bulky on the back for someone shorter. My only wish is that there was a way to secure the outside straps when they are cinched down so they aren’t flapping around while being in checked luggage.

After some long travel this
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After some long travel this season, my only complaint is that the buckles on the straps (when zipped in and away) create a pressure point and when the bag is checked, there is visible wear and tearing on those points. I try to keep everything flat and those tucked away when checking the bag. I don’t think it will break through but Im keeping an eye on it. Other than that, we love it.

Inconvenient
Bought it and immediately returned it. I wanted a rolling pack that I can easily throw on my shoulders when needed. This pack requires that you use the waist belt (no way around it) and spend at least a couple minutes setting up all the straps every single time you want to throw it on your shoulders. And you need to do the reverse to get it back to its rolling state. It’s too bad, because except for the terribly designed handle release, I like the actual pack.

seems to be durable, but not?
i just bought one of these from a local shop and brought it home. Paid full retail for it as i could go and try the 60 and the 80. Couldn't fit what I used to put in my old Eddie Bauer 26 into the 60 so I went with the 80. Got it home and was working with the back pack straps and getting that set up. I pulled on one of the chest straps - and it broke off of where it was connected. Really? Not sure the design was though through really well - or perhaps no one actually tried it? Well, it broke. Now I have to take it back and swap for another or have it fixed. So, my comment to you Osprey is this is a real weakness that is small - but will bring aggravation to those who use the backpack option. I know, it has the almighty warranty, but as i understand it, that almighty warranty isn't so almighty if I have to send this in and have to pay shipping. That can be spendy.
