Great concept but too big!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great concept but too big! I've always worn S/M Osprey packs in the past, so I assumed that this would fit similarly. It fits right for my height, and around the hips, but it's significantly too large across the chest, even when tightened to the max. I'm returning it and replacing it with the women's tempest in hopes that that will fit better.

It's ok
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start with didn't find it very comfortable on my back as after wearing for few hours out had back pain so didn't help me at all such a shame it's sturdy but not for me and big bag to be fair that's a plus looks like it will last years so that's a plus

Great bag for the outdoors

Excellent storage, and very handy to have storage accessible without taking the bag off. Very comfortable for something you're likely to be wearing across the entire day as well. Would recommend this bag.

Amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good quality. I've got this backbag few weeks ago. Few times went for some nice walk trails around forests and mountains in UK. Comfortable and you can pack loads of stuff. Material is good as well. Definetely worth the price. I can bet it will stay with me for long time.

Niche but solid
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've worked in the outdoor industry, have worn dozens of packs and sold hundreds of Talon/Tempests. The Velocity is a solid addition to Osprey's Range. Like other Talons, it's comfortable, carries weight well and is very adjustable- it's easy to get a good fit with the right know-how. It's a niche bag, however, with its clear running vest influence. I've hiked and run in it, and found that the harness comfortable, close-fitting and nimble feeling, but I appreciate that for the less well-formed, it can fall into the the classic Osprey trap of being an impenetrable mass of straps. It doesn't bounce much when running, which makes it a great option for fast-packing or for the races like the OMM. That being said, the harness system will limit it for many- it can looks intimating, and it wouldn't be my first choice for anything with a harness- I'd rather a classic Talon or my Mutant for that. The colour is classic Osprey- bright, bordering garish, and for that price, I'd expect a rain cover.

Brilliant daysack!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rucksack is perfect for a day of walking. 30L and plenty of utility pouches and zips to fit all your walking necessities. Only thing I’d change is the lid, would prefer a zip and not a hook system but other than that faultless!
