The size is perfect for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size is perfect for international travel. The frame and handle are pretty sturdy and the wheels roll over rough pavement pretty well. They are about 1/2” larger in diameter than my other trolley type suitcases. I like the fact it can expand when I travel in the U. S. , and pack smaller for travel in the EU.

My wife and I were

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I were going to France and I needed a new carry-on bag, so I bought the Osprey Transporter 4-wheel hybrid carry-on bag because I know Osprey makes great products with a great warranty. We just got back from our trip and the bag was fantastic. I had a choice of laying the bag down and loading it from the top or keeping the bag vertical and packing from the bottom on up:) Thank You Osprey for making this bag. Thanks, Darcy

The carry on I have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The carry on I have been waiting for. Pretty, functional, comfortable, glides on all floors. I just LOVE it. Thank you Osprey for making the best luggage combining practicality and elegance.

Nice bag with poor wheels.

Like the concept and bag system. Very dissapointed with loud wheels and indeed their poor quality. Apparently no replacemnt wheels available.

Zipper for 5L expansion aids compression

Of course Osprey is known for their easy rolling, dependable wheels, but what I really love about this carry on is the really strong zipper for the 5 liter expansion. On really small airplanes (ex: between islands in French Polynesia) where the +5 size is too large, I just pack everything normally, but then I compress everything to the smaller size by closing 2nd (expansion) zipper. Better than a compression strap!

Gen 2 Wheel Problems

Had the 1st Generation of this and had 2 wheels damaged the first trip. Got the 2nd version and after 2 trips, 2 of the wheels get the speed wobbles from being loose already. Pack is great if the wheels work right.

Wheels that wobble, clatter, rattle, and shake

I really wanted to love this bag. It was exactly what I wanted down to the last detail. Perfect size. Great design. Awesome materials. However, the wheels are terrible. After just two trips one of the wheels started wobbling and rattling like a bum wheel on a shopping cart. Now all the wheels, no mater which orientation I roll the bag, rattle, wobble, clatter, and draw attention. The bag now doesn't even track with me as I walk and it's so noisy my wife walks five steps behind me. I watch as people with bags purchased for 1/4 the price roll by me in silence. Meanwhile I'm clanging down the terminal with my wheels bouncing around like crazy. Worst. Wheels. Ever. BTW, I still love Osprey and have been a loyal fan since my first Osprey pack in 1994.

Reliability is a significant issue ...

The bag would be great if it was built to normal Osprey standards, BUT - within a few trips, the wheels bent and became almost unusable (significant wobbling), and after about 18 months of travels, the metal handles snapped in half while rolling through the airport. Otherwise, the bag is solid. Material easily scuffs and gets marked, but has not torn.

Very good looking in black

I really like this bad, it's compact, and the gloss black looks really good. I just wish they would put higher quality wheels. They work ok, but why not use full metal wheels with nicely greased bearing? Would provide a really quality feel when rolling through the airport.
