So far so good. I
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. I work in a hospital full time and am a full time student. I can organize all the gear I need for a normal, hectic day. I love the kick stand feature, as it keeps the bag upright and easy to find my needed gear. I have been an osprey user for all my life and this bag is just another reason to continue to do so.

Love it
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I absolutely love this backpack. I needed one bigger than my old Patagonia Black hole and this is just the right size, fits under seats on airplanes (is a little long but not bad). I like the design/pockets. The kickstand rocks. It makes me feel like I'm carrying less weight because it is so well designed.

Very happy with the Tropos
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the Tropos 32, I'm still waiting for that big adventure to put the pack to the test. In the meantime, a trip to the Niagara Falls should be nothing for the unmatched quality of Osprey. Looking forward to provide more input... Adam

Great pack for carrying all
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pack for carrying all of my books, computer and gym stuff to and from campus. Straps and suspension system carry the load well. The kickstand is also a really nice feature that I'm enjoying much more than I thought I would.

more colors
I can't imagine a better bag for its purpose. How about some more colors Osprey? Light or white perhaps for these hot summers.

I've enjoyed using this pack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've enjoyed using this pack for work mostly and travel. With minimalistic needs it can supply me with about a week's worth of clothing. In a pinch it is also a great way to have a day pack when I'd left mine behind on a trip. The lack of organization was a concern, but overall hasn't been that big of a deal and it does simplify the overall access to items within it. One thing that can be a bit of a slight annoyance is when overstuffing the main compartment it can limit the ease of access to the front organization area and laptop storage.

When it doesn't have much
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it doesn't have much stuff in it, the front part kinda starts folding in two. I usually carry my laptop charger in the middle section and it constantly bumps into the kickstand part making "bumping" sounds of it doesn't have anything else on top of it to fix it in place. If you have notebooks at the very front section, they upper part will "lean" out, forming a belly like bulgy shape on the front. I would love to have an option to hide/remove hip fixors and the ones on the front when I am not hiking. Otherwise, it is just great. I enjoyed hiking with it very much

Kickstand is amazing
All Osprey bags were wonderful to try on at a local store, but I decided on this one. I ordered this one mostly because the “kickstand” bottom that is like their child carriers; it can be sat on the bottom and it stands upright. This is nice for school and casual uses because it doesn’t need to be leaned against something. I like that it’s also capable of having a camelbak in, but it carries 40oz containers on side pockets easy. The airframe back is nice because it lets you breathe and doesn’t get your back sweaty in the heat. I got this because I didn’t want to buy two bags, so this felt like something I could hike in or go to school in. It would only be more perfect with a built in raincover, but I bought the small one from here. The black is nice, but not completely blacked out as it’s slightly patterned. If they had a nice dark green I would have gone with that. Go try this one on, you will dig it.

Awesome All-Arounder
I was looking to upgrade my trusty NF Surge. My Surge is still holding up well but I wanted to see if I could find a more comfortable pack. Go down the rabbit hole to find Osprey's Airstream and kickstand tech. Decide to check the gimmick and no shill it's great. I transferred my gear over and even though the Tropos weighs more than the Surge, my gear does feel lighter. The load lifters and the kickstand frame really do make a difference. I also wanted big stretchy pockets that will fit random items. I can stuff my travel pillow in one of the water bottle pockets without bulging out too much. The big stretchy pocket in the middle replaces the zip down from last generation which I can see why the zip was removed as I always thought that was just a invite for thieves to pull the zipper. The new stretch pocket needs the compression straps to be clicked in which does promotes security. Good pocket for rain gear and a tote bag. My cons for the Tropos are the waist strap and the padding at the bottom of the frame. Waist strap is just a ""why bother"" strap that is easily removed. The padding at the bottom is just me being nit-picky but it could do with some more padding. My Surge is now retired as my travel pack and the Tropos will join me on my adventures.
