Wow these are warm!
Wore these for the first time today in low single digit temps skinning uphill - took them off when my hands got too warm - but wore them in the descent by which time the temp was below zero with high winds. Nice to have warm hands. Only nit is that the cuff cord is a little fiddly.

not worth it for east coast skiing
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

- xl

i didn't believe the other reviews but this glove is not that warm for east coast skiing. also the thumb (as another reviewer stated) runs short. i got the xl but it fits more like a L or M in other brands. hard to hold a ski pole. harder to hold ski pole with an additional liner. did not keep my hands warm in really cold weather. regret buying these. a nice 300 polar tech fleece mitt from polarmitts.com and got the extreme arctic mitts from an army/navy surplus store work better than this glove and was way cheaper. if you have problems with cold hands, stay away from these on the east coast. i used them at banff and whistler and they were fine but couldn't handle the same temp on the east coast in VT.

Very warm, good materials, easy to get on and off in the cold. Great when dealing with a lot of snow

Toasty
They have a large cuff that will fit over all layers. Extremely warm almost too warm wore them snowboarding in 20 degree weather. I took them off on the lift to keep my hands from sweating. Great glove extremely warm great for all skill levels especially when you're not generating much body heat!

Super warm
They have kept me warm and dry while patrolling. I don't have much dexterity in them but that's not what I need them for.

Comprehensive protection
The Alti II blends comfort, durability, and functionality into a singular mitt. These kept me warm and protected with a liner glove while on a week-long mountaineering expedition. Warm and dry, they felt great and protected my hands and lower arms well. Anyone looking for a rugged winter glove for backcountry expeditions, from skiing to winter hiking or mountaineering objectives, I couldn’t recommend these more.

I CONSTANTLY recommend these mitts!
1st, they are cozy-comfy. No moment of chill putting them on, due to the soft lining. 2nd, even here in Madison, WI, I only need to use the inner insulating mitt under 10deg, and I have sensitive baby hands. 3rd, I preferred these because they don't use leather. Finally, I am NOT nice to them, and they've survived for 8 years (though the last 2 were pushing it for waterproofness and wind-blocking).

very warm, very bulky (as you would expect). Great for adventures, hard to make practical when tooling around at the resort.

They prevent frost bite but don't keep you warm
These will keep your hands from getting frost bite but I lose all feeling in my hands after a few hours outside. Not made for prolonged outdoor usage below 40 degrees. The synthetic fill liner loses all insulation after a season and needs to be replaced.

Brilliant
Quite frankly the Best cold weather mitts/gloves/hand wear I have ever used. I have been searching for the elusive holy grail of hand wear as I suffer with the cold but I spend time in the cold. These mitts are just outstanding in EVERY WAY. Thank you
