Loose waist, tight calves, polyester odor

The mapped design of these leggings is great, but the fit is poor. Very loose in the waist, rise is too low (wedgie!), calves too tight. For reference I'm 5'5" and 120lbs. Polyester holds onto smells, so a nylon/spandex blend would be better than polyester/spandex. If the fit is updated to a smaller waist and higher rise, enough room for calves, and nylon/spandex I'd definitely rebuy.

Weird fit

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
XL

I wanted to like these pants because I loved the idea of wind protection while running. I followed advice from reviews and sized up because I was in between sizes, and when I tried the pants, the waistband was almost too loose, and there were no ties to help keep them up. I worry that with high activity like running, the pants will shimmy their way off without an adjustable band. The crotch area is also weirdly loose and looks odd. Overall, I'm disappointed with the product, especially for Outdoor Research, and I don't think it deserves to be at full price.

Women's Deviator Legging

Love these tights. I bought them for cool weather (fall) mountain biking but I think they will work well for winter running, nordic skiing or snowshoeing as well...as long as it's not too cold out. I live in the mountains where we get a ton of snow and have cold winters so this will most likely be shoulder season pants for me. The fit is slim but not tight, tight like stretchy leggings. I ordered the size small first....I'm 5'3" and weigh 125 and am a size 6 typically....but they were a little too tight in the tummy so I sent them back and ordered a medium which fit perfect. If I didn't carry my weight in my stomach or weighed five pounds less the small would have been fine. The medium wasn't too much longer either so it still fit length wise. I've been looking and looking for a good cold weather pant for biking and these fit the bill perfectly. I also liked the color...it's a very deep green.

Comfy and seem durable

I haven't worn these outside yet, but they're comfortable and they seem durable. I'm 5'5, about 140lb and the medium fit well.

Perfectly Purposeful!

Phenomenal attention to material, cut, and construction resulting in the best executed winter tight for high output activities! Bunch-free, Snag-free, and exceptional weather resistance paired with the breathability you need to keep pushing hard while staying dry and warm. Highly recommend!

Beware of super tight waistband

I was so excited to see this product because it's VERY hard to find windproof pants for women. But unfortunately I'm not sure if they will work, due to the super tight and uncomfortable waistband. For reference, I am 5'5" and 125 pounds with a ruler body type. I am usually a size small in Outdoor Research pants, but that size was just too tight in the waist. So I tried a medium, and even that one is tight! They fit perfectly everywhere else, but that darn waistband makes them incredibly uncomfortable. Maybe it would stretch out in time? But they are a little too expensive to take that risk. I'll probably return. Other than the waistband, I love everything about them. The fabric on the outside is smooth. In some areas, it feels more cottony (though it's not actually cotton) and in some areas it's more slick. The inside has a very soft brushed fleece. I don't think you would be able to easily layer a base layer underneath these, given the fleece interior. The zipper at the ankle is really handy. You could even wear them with ankles unzipped for more of a slim straight cut rather than legging. I have a 30" inseam, and the length is perfect. I really hope Outdoor Research makes more windproof pants for women, but I also hope they work on designing a more comfortable (or adjustable?) waistband.
