Fantastic convertible pants!
- Size Bought:
- 4
I've had several pairs of the older North Face variety of convertible hiking pants, which were all perfectly comfortable, but I like these WAY better! These are very lightweight and plenty of stretch, so they fit and don't look so blah like the other ones often would. They are actually flattering. Plus the shorts are longer which I love as well. And good very deep pockets and a zip pocket too. I am 5'5", about 116 lobs and got a size 4 and they fit perfectly. Really awesome!

Perfect Summer Hiking Pants In NE US
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 2S
These are great for hiking in the Northeast US where it can be extremely humid and buggy and there is a lot of foliage and snakes on the trails. I prefer to wear pants for the protection but love that I can zip/vent the legs or zip the legs off completely (which I also do for the ride home). The materials is also lightweight. I am 5' 5" and 120 pounds and the size 2 short fit perfectly without the leg cuffs dragging on the ground at all. I got these in 2 colors.

Light, durable, dries fast
Just returned from my 2nd 10-day backpacking trip using these pants. 8/10 days of rain yet they dried very quickly. Also very durable given the rough terrain we hiked through. Definitely recommend!

Women's Ferrosi Convertible Pants
These pants are so comfortable and the fabric is really nice. The pockets are substantial (which you don't always find in women's pants). They were still a bit too long for me but I have had them altered. I will be wearing these when we go to Italy in the fall.

So far they are comfortable
The shorts part is a little longer than I expected. They sit just above my knees. Deep front pockets which I like. Zippers feel Like good quality. Overall I would recommend

Sizing Difficult but Overall Good Pants
I am 5'6, 155 lb and ordered a size 6 originally but it was just a bit too tight in the hip and thigh, which surprised me as size 6 typically works across a variety of brands. I returned the 6 and ordered size 8. The hip area was looser but the thigh area, especially where the zip-off is is still skin tight. The material is definitely stretchy so the tightness is not uncomfortable but just strange that this aspect did not change when upgrading a size. Despite struggling to figure out sizing, I am impressed by the material, the softness, the soft waistband to prevent rub, the stretch and overall look of the pants.

Great in any weather
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore my new Ferrosi convertible pants on a 12 mile hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. The morning started at around 72 degrees so I left them as pants and zipped off the legs after about an hour when the day started getting really warm. As we reached the summit a summer storm brought a 20+ degree temp drop and some serious rain. I zipped the pant legs back on and I was surprised at how water resistant they were. I didn't stay completely dry but after the storm passed, and the sun came out, everything dried out quickly and it was not uncomfortable or chafing while wet. Overall, the pants were great as shorts - lightweight, flexible and cool when the weather was hot, and also did well in the colder temperatures and rain - they didn't stick to my skin, chafe, or lose their shape. And a light rain wouldn't have soaked through the fabric at all.

Moves with me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these pants. They have just enough stretch for running, scrambling or just plain hiking. The fit was accurate.

Comfortable and durable
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I've had a pair for about 15 years and they're really comfortable, light and dry so fast! They're just too big☺️. So I bought the convertible kind, a couple of sizes smaller. I measured carefully and consulted the size chart. I would say that the fit is exactly right: no roominess built in. I wore them on a 10-day backpacking trip and despite the narrow, rugged trail, they still look like new. Recommend these pants!
