Great all around outdoor pant.
I really like the fit and feel of these pants. They have worked well as a hiking pant as well as becoming my favorite go to pant for golf.

Great pants but fabric pills
I have bought two pairs over the years. I like the style and fit but pretty quickly the fabric starts to "pill" especially over the upper thigh. I have both the early one with the elastic draw-cord ankles, which I prefer, and later ones with the hemmed straight cuff.

Perfect backpacking pants
Use these mostly for Montana backpacking. Love that they offer a 34" inseam for those with longer legs. The ferrosi fabric is stretchy and lightweight keeping my legs protected from the sun and shrubs during long treks in the Montana backcountry. Love them!

Light, durable, breathable
I’ve put a ton of wear and tear on these pants with backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, and general travel. For being as breathable and light as these are, they hold up to abrasions pretty well. I’ve had tons of branches, rocks, and trees slide on these without any major damage. The integrated shoelace/string belt on the interior of the waist is a great little compliment to the external belt loops, no extra bulk with a little extra security. One small negative I have for these are the elastic cinches at the cuffs. They’ve held up fine so far, but I’m always worried about losing one of the little clips that go on them. Just make sure you loosen them before taking the pants off and double check that the 2 pieces are still there.

Great pants for backpacking or hiking
I love these pants for hiking and backpacking. The material breathes well, dries quickly and is cool in hot weather but warm enough when actively hiking into the upper 40s even in a mild breeze. The draw cord at the waist is very nice and works well. Eliminate need for a belt, which gets in the way when carrying a backpack. The draw chords at the cuffs are nice, but they require a plastic attachment, which is easily lost. They should be supplied with one or two replacements when purchased.

Would buy again
The Outdoor Ferrosi Pant has been my favorite hiking and casual wear pant for years. This most recent version feels like an upgrade over my previous pair with strong but lightweight fabric with just the right amount of stretch.

Good pants, poorly described
- Size Bought:
- 34/reg
- Height:
- 5' 9"
- Weight:
- 198
These are a lightweight pant, not a heavier softshell pant like the Patagonia guide pant. Reg inseam is 32", short is 30". Wish this product had better description... Keeping them though because a return would cost me an extra $10
