great shel!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Mens Small for 17 y.o. 5'7" 130lbs
My son had the first version of this shell which he lost. I suggested many other shells to him, but he wanted the OR Foray II jacket. He loves the new one just as much.

Love the huge pit zips
Well made coat, my favorite for activities where I am going to be working up a sweat and need to dump heat. The pockets are a good size.

Light and Works as Advertised
It performs exactly as you would need a goretex rain jacket to perform. Light with tons of zippers and flaps to accommodate anything you are going to do.

Great for winter trail running
I bought this jacket last month for winter long runs in temperatures down to -20C. It is exactly what I wanted and is the perfect mix of protection from the cold, snow, and wind and breathability. I went 2 sizes up from wait I normally wear so that it would fit over my layers and hydration vest and the sizing was perfect.

Great Shell for cycling
I have gone on two rides with this. So far so good. This is a great outer shell and I am able to regular my sweat using the Torso zips and main zip. I wear this and a thermal layer on 30-40º days, and so far so good. If you wear an 2XL shirt, do not buy this in 2XL. It's huge! Kinda wish I had a smaller size. but thinking of the core use of this being an outer shell. Maybe the large size is ok. I think at some point I may get a second with a smiller fit. This shell will help on and off the bike. After a ride. I just turn it inside out and hang it up and it dries quick if I get sweaty. Over all. Love this shell! This is strictly an outer shell, you need thermal layers underneath to use it. Call it "pro winter" gear. Thanks! Merry Christmas!

I used this jacket to trek Kilimanjaro during the rainy season. Jacket is impenetrable, lightweight, and comfortable to wear with several ways of adjusting fit. I have recommended it to all my friends and family.

Awesome jacket!
Super light weight, great fit, and incredibly wind & waterproof. I have enjoyed so much, I purchased three more so my wife and two adult children have one too. Wife and I walk 4 miles a day, 5-6 days a week rain or shine. Pit zips have come in handy a few times for venting. Great quality. Highly recommended!

Weird sizing
I bought an xl thinking it would fit like my other xl rain shell from OR, I was very disappointed to find this jacket much shorter on the torso length than the previous one.

Looks great.
It hasn’t rained since I received this jacket. It fit well, arm movement is good, and all the seams are taped. I have high hopes for this jacket, my last “rain” jacket was more like a wind breaker or maybe keep moisture off in the fog !

I Now Own Four of Them
My son borrowed my first jacket and ended up keeping it (with my blessing). Had the opportunity to purchase a new shell. After hours of research, I ended up purchasing the same one, then two more of the women's versions (Aspire II) for the family. Kept my dry in constant pouring rain back backing, lightweight and packable, yet still with features like plenty of pockets and pit zips that start from the waist. The giant pit zips are great way to keep your backpack's hip belt dry in the pouring rain while still having quick access by zipping them up from the bottom about 6 inches. 6', 175 lbs - went with medium. Medium weight puffy still fit underneath. Use case: Hiking, backpacking, and around town. Use a thicker, heavier, and more durable shell for the snow environments like skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing.
