Solid shirt for daily riding!!!
The Freewheel Short Sleeve Jersey is more like a daily driver shirt over a traditional jersey. You can wear it daily for day to day tasks then hit the trail after work. The material is similar to other Outdoor Research shirts in the 2024 clothing catalog. I took the shirt for weekly rides on local trail heads in MD in spring and on the Santos Trails in FL on a work trip. The stretch is nice when you catch a sticker bush and length is nice if you have a long torso. The only con in my opinion is that a bring color would be nice for hunting seasons. I currently have the blue shirt and it looks good.

Happy with it but not groundbreaking
Finally got the chance to ride in this. Breathable and is a nice fabric. I don't see a huge difference between riding in this versus any tech fabric shirt though. It also feels big. I think a snugger fit would help as I worry about snagging it on branches.

Stretchy, Breathable, Dialed
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I've already put this thing through its paces over a few MTB rides and love it. Material is thin but substantial, has the right amount of stretch, and is ready to take on many more miles. I typically wear a size large shirt and stuck with that here, and the proportions are spot-on. It's not a slim-fit per se, but not baggy at all. This should 100% be at the top of your list if you're looking for a lightweight jersey that doesn't fall under the typical loose-fit MTB styling. Typical OR quality, fun to wear as a casual piece, and good color choices. Send it, and reach out to a Gearhead to get some OR bike gear headed your way! #BackcountryGearheads #CompetitiveCyclistGearheads

It's light and cozy with a casual fit. Feels like a nice piece of techy clothing and isn't restrictive at all.

A simple, great performing jersey
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Not a ton to say here, it's tech-tee for hitting the trails. The fit is great, not too baggy, not too fitted in all the right places. The fabric feels a bit heavier than my normal collection of jerseys and I was wondering if it would ride hotter. It's super soft and comfortable when first putting it on! Last night's ride was a muggy 84 degrees, and although it was sticky out, I could feel the fabric wicking and felt it cooling! I was impressed! We'll see how it handles triple digit Texas heat this summer, but I expect it do well.
