I love it even with its cons

I bought this to replace my comparable Patagonia version. This one is warmer in the body and less warm in the arms. I actually love this jacket because I have narrow shoulders and this seems to fit me better than most jackets because of this. If you have broad shoulders you may not like the fit. I do not like that the jacket is extremely loud. It sounds like you are wearing a trash bag which makes it seam cheap. It is fitted and tapers a bit at the waist but not so much that a bulky sweater doesn’t work. I am a tried and true medium in all tops but I bought this in a large and it fits perfectly. I am 5’7” and 140 lbs, short waisted and narrow in the shoulders. A medium would have been snug. Other than the arms being chillier than I am used to in this type of jacket, and the noisy fabric, I love this jacket and have stayed warm so far with temps around 30 degrees. We will see what happens this week with layers when we are stuck 20 and below. If you are a pocket person you will love the softly lined large pockets. If you don’t like drafts you will be aware of air coming in near most of the seams especially the zippers and pockets.

Dirt bag approved

Love this jacket. Received it last Christmas (12/2023), it is my go to for trail hustles & backpacking. It packs well and fills empty spaces in my pack. It’s paired with the OR aspire rain jacket to keep me dry and warm during crisp mornings in the tent. Last year 2024 this jacket went on 12 backpacking trips, Rialto beach, the hoh, ancient lakes, mt Jefferson, enchanted valley, alpine like wilderness, baker lake, tunnel falls /eagle creek, mounti si, northern cascades and a hand full more through out Washington and Oregon. Outstanding performance for price, no holes or unraveling given how hard I am on it. I have this in a rose gold color

Love.

On my second one. Love it. My mom has one too! Perfect for backcountry touring, trips to town, etc. Hood is fantastic too. Size up if you want to layer.
