Runs Small!
Quality is good, but this runs small! I got a medium and it fits way smaller than all of my other medium items. Size up!

My best mid layer addition of the year.
I was skeptical of the modern, thin, down jackets and vests. I’ve loved my old style, bulky down vests, and had full faith in the warmth of down. The Outdoor Research Helium Down Vest has become a daily part of my kit working at a ski area. The cut is definitely very athletic or snug, which does make it amazing for layering over. I’m normally somewhere between a large and extra large, the XL fits much closer to a large than a XL. While not the most flattering for fashion wear, but it’s perfect for how warming layers are meant to be worn. Generally I’ll wear this vest over my base layer and under my other mid layer. Thought the day I might remove my other mid layer and use just this vest and my shell. As with all of my Outdoor Research gear I’m very impressed and happy with my purchase.

Perfect Down Vest!
Love this vest so far. Perfect for active outdoor sports. Fit is excellent, just enough space to fit it over a fleece. Has a good amount of loft for how light it is. The arm holes have a good fit and elastic which really holds in heat compared to other vests I have tried.

Awesome little vest
Vest is super light weight. Very comfortable. Great as an outer garment or a mid layer. Inner chest pockets are great for things like passports. Side pockets are lined with soft cloth that is nice and warm on the hands. Vest is great around town or living out of a pack. Doesn't stuff into it's own pocket but it stuffs great into a bag, which I prefer.

Size medium fits well, I’m 6’ and approximately 150lb. Vest is very warm. Chest pocket and internal pockets are a nice touch. One minor thing is the internal loop for hanging on a coat rack could be just a little bit nicer.
