Best for the worst weather!

These work best in frigid, single digit temps like what we have in mountains of Colorado. The mittens by themselves without the electric heating are enough for temps in the low double digits. Dexterity is what you expect from a mitten - you learn to use your thumbs! Quality of materials and construction seem solid - time will tell. Sizing seems spot on.

Too big!

The mitts are well-made, but the sizing is off. I wear a unisex small and they are much larger than any other small mitts I own, including those from OR purchased earlier this season. They are bulky, so I don't have much dexterity when wearing them. Contrary to other reviews, I don't find anything weird about the thumb.

Good design - bad manufacturing

It looks like they have serious problem with quality of manufacturing. It is a good design and materials, but sewing quality is bad. 1. The problem with people complains about small thumb seems is due to widespread manufacturing defect. I've bought a pair that has thumb on left mitten OK, but on the right one - much narrower. See the picture. 2. Pocket for battery on left mitten was half shot sewn. I.e. I could not insert the battery. Until OR resolves the quality control and manufacturing issues (which they should for the premium price they charge) - I cannot recommend it.

Really great quality gloves

I bought these for my girlfriend as a gift. She has reynaud's and has had really cold hands every single day we have skied, even in the spring! These gloves have completely changed her skiing experience and keeps her going for a lot longer! She rarely goes above the lowest setting, except for when on a cold chair lift. Really impressed with these. We ski 70+ days per season and so far she has used them every single day. Battery life is pretty good! There seems to be better out there for battery life, but get a spare and always have them charged and you're set!

Excellent! Love that they are mittens

This is my third pair of heated gloves, and by far the best. I think mainly because they are mittens, with no finger separations. So the whole space gets heated. I don’t even suffer from my thumbs getting cold! So far the batteries seem to last well even on the hottest setting, but I’ve only taken them out half days. I do find that I need to charge them overnight.

Poor design

I had these mittens for 4 years and use them about 30 days per year. I had high hopes for them since I have a Reynolds syndrome and struggle to keep my hands warm without external heat source. This mittens are made from top quality materials and overall craftmanship is great. Unfortunately it has 3 big problems for me. I do not have large hands - they are average men's size and other brands works fine for me: 1. gauntlet cuffs ( i.e. cinchable part that goes over jacket sleeves) is TOO NARROW. It makes putting mittens on difficult. Since these part are cinchable - it is extremely frustrating why it was designed to be narrow. 2. The thumb pocket is NARROW. This prevents me from using a liner gloves with this mittens. 3. Connector for batteries is not reliable. After a while, the connection between battery and gloves become loose and heat turns off on it is own. I think it is an systemic problem with the connector design: it looks flimsy and not serviceable. The connector needs to be more robust and cleanable. When mittens heat works - it is great. But once connector becomes loose over time - it becomes a problem as it cuts off heat randomly. For that reasons I cannot recommend this mittens.

Very Warm Gloves

I bike everywhere in NY and these gloves are extremely warm whether turned on or not turned on. My one call out is the thumb is extremely tight.

Love These!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

So comfortable, and warm. I recently bought these, and have skied in them about 10 days. I tried on others, and the thumbs were uncomfortable, and different sizes. Worth the extra money, and better than using disposable hand warmers. Picking up my wide powder skies is challenging, but worth it.

oyster is not white

Because our family has poor circulation and gets very cold hands, these heated mitts have become essential for squeezing maximum value out of each of our precious snowboarding days. We can now stay out until we actually get tired rather than being forced to take a break due to being too cold. We purchased one pair in early 2023, one in late 2023, and one in 2024. Although the high price tag will necessitate years for us to fully outfit our large family, the incredible effectiveness of these mitts have prompted a goal to have ten pairs within the next several years. We've had good experience with the batteries thus far; lasting most of a typical day of snowboarding. Planning to purchase some back-up batteries to have on deck for extended days. For the latest pair we chose the oyster color, which looks WHITE on the webpage, but it is not white--it's closer to SAND. Since we were hoping for white to go with a girl's purple jacket, the sand color is a disappointment, but fine. Function is the most important thing here. SIze note. We all wear wrist guards underneath our mitts, and the size XL has been compatible with that protection system. Even our youngest family members (age 10) can use the size XL over their wrist guards and it works well.
