Runs very large and has a boxy cut
Despite everything else I own from Outdoor Research being a sz Med, this coat was way too big and the cut is very boxy so even layering wouldn't work. Unfortunately I bought it on Final Sale so no exchanges for smaller size allowed either. I am not sure what body type this coat would work for but if you decide to give it a try, definitely suggest sizing down and don't expect it to be a flattering coat. This is the first thing I've ever bought from OR that was disappointing. Love all their fleeces, jackets, vests and shirts. This was just a fail, even at the deep discounted Final Sale.

Great Parka!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coat is lightweight but warm, it's a perfect transition piece and really comfortable. The pockets hold a cell phone, keys, and enough dog treats & bags for a long walk. It's also perfect when it's a gray, misty day.

Been wearing all winter long!
I bought this jacket in the fall as a casual replacement to another jacket that doesn't fit since I gained weight. I bought a L which is maybe a bit looser than I need, but there's room for bulky sweaters underneath. I've been wearing this jacket all winter long in Boston! With climate change, most days have been in the 40s so I haven't needed anything too warm. This jacket is lightweight but warm, less restrictive than other jackets, and the length is perfect for a city coat feel. But I would wear this hiking too! I totally recommend, and would buy again

Lightweight and good for weather around 0 C
I moved from a colder climate to a temperate climate while owning this coat. It was a fall coat in the colder climate and worked well, my main concern being wind. In the temperate climate it literally is my "winter" coat. It's nice to have an outer layer that isn't overly bulky.

Love this intermediate weather jacket.
Perfect for the fall and to layer over a hoodie for added warmth. Nice style and fit!
