Stay warm on the hill with the Outdoor Research Snowcrew Down Jacket—insulated, waterproof, and adventure-ready.

When temps aim to numb and gusts feel razor sharp, we kit up with the Outdoor Research Snowcrew Down Jacket. The responsibly sourced down holds in our body heat without weighing us down, while the breathable membrane blocks out wind and moisture, keeping us comfortably dry underneath. When fresh powder starts to fall, the 3-panel hood cinches over our helmet, while its synthetic insulation promises to trap heat even if it gets wet. As we slice groomers and carve up back bowls, the resilient, partially recycled material lets us move freely, and the underarm vents prevent us from overheating.

Amazing jacket for cold winters.

I work in Northern Saskatchewan where it gets very windy and cold. The jacket is very durable and can withstand the cold. I highly recommend if you work during the winter months outdoors or for winter sports activities

Snowcrew Down Jacket - Awesome!

This jacket is excellent. I purchased it because it's one of O.R.'s warmest jackets, and it's perfect for the DC area.

Excellent in-bounds super warm

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
Large

I’m 6’4” and about 195 lbs with 36” arm length and a size large fits me well. I could use another inch in the arms if I was being picky but the arm length is sufficient. I wore this jacket twice so far on stormy snowy days with wind at about 25 degrees and it worked well. I bought this jacket for in bounds skiing on cold/stormy days and I think it’s perfect. I will not be hiking with this jacket since it’s just too big for that. The hood is nice and large and fits over my helmet just fine. I love this jacket and I highly recommend it.

Nice job

5 11, 190ish. Size L. Fit is great. Does not bind in arms, room for layering, yet not baggy. Description does not have all the pockets. 2 zip hand, 2 zip chest, (not foolishly on the same side), 1 zip arm, One side internal drop in. Arm vents. What the confused young gentleman with "lots of coats" in the previous review means to say is that he thinks the weight, or amount of insulation in the coat is not enough, (the 700 fill number has nothing to do with this). Is he right? Mmm, no. For this style of coat it is about perfect, and certainly not skimpy. You may disregard remarks about "mesh" as well. My only peve is that I did not realize it had a powder skirt. These were never a good idea, just preference. It snaps out of the way and is not even an issue. Balsam color is very slightly lighter than on screen. Recommended.

I highly recommend this jacket for taller folks!

Solid construction and fits well! The jacket is warm and comphy to wear. Also has good length in the arms which is nice when other brands seem to think everyone has weirdly short arms.

Awesome waterproof down jacket

Most down jackets are not waterproof and you end up needing another layer. specially in the pacific Northwest. This jacket is the solution to that. Warm and comfortable. Good zippers, pockets and ventilation.
