Favorite coat
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This coat is exceptionally warm without being too heavy. Love all the pockets. The large fit me just right (6’1, 215) with some room for layering. Seems like great quality so I expect it to last.

Great heavy down parka with GoreTex
Had mine for about 4 years now. It's holding up really well. It's a seasonal piece for me, but it keeps me quite warm during the winter. I wouldn't suggest doing anything super active with this jacket since it's not a technical piece, but for low energy activities, it's perfect. It also looks great. It fits me well. I'm 5'7, 180 lbs. The sleeves are a little long, but I can fold the shell in and it doesn't affect function or aesthetics. The torso has enough room for me to layer up if I need to. Keep in mind that I bought mine in 2021, and OR might have made changes to the fit of this jacket for latter years and iterations.

very roomy
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- m
- Height:
- 5' 6"
- Weight:
- 155
I'm 5'6", 155lbs, size 40 shoulders and 32 waist. I wear M in everything so ordered a M. Shoulders were true to size and a good fit, but you could have fit another person in the abdomen section. Looked like i was wearing a box. Had to return because of the fit. Otherwise it seemed like a high quality coat. I was a fan of it being weather proof but I guess I'll go with a something more fitted and less weatherproof.

Bit disappointing
Way less thick/warm than expected, pretty light insulation. Also fits much smaller than expected. I wear Large in almost everything and Large is too constricting in chest/shoulders

Perfect winter coat
It’s a great winter coat, my husband loves it! I ordered an XL and it fits his 6’6” frame perfectly. It’s toasty warm and the Gore-tex keeps him dry. Good sized good as well. We both love the green colour too.

Perfect jacket for cold temps
Awesome parka! Trust sizing chart. I’m 6 foot 200lbs and a Large fits perfectly. Extremely warm jacket, durable, comfortable, and I feel invincible when I wear it. If it’s 25°F or below, you’re good to go, anything above that and it’s too warm. Excellent quality!

Great jacket, a little tight
The jacket is very well made and warm, but it is a little tight at the bottom. I ordered a small as a 5’9” 170lbs man and the top part fits perfectly the bottom goes to about mid thigh and is a bit tight. I can’t fit my pistol in an owb holster and zip it. If you’re using it for that I’d order a size up but it may be a bit big up top then. There is a multitude of pockets and they are well sized and most have zippers so I would definitely recommend it; I just wish they had a size exchange. It should be fine if you’re unarmed or carry appendix. Just know due to the length you cant slide it up to draw either

Room for Improvement
As a parka, it’s great! No complaints on the overall weather resistance to it, as I bought it for daily use in the interior of Alaska Winters. The arms deviate from the woman’s design and has down padded insulation and are a little loose for my taste. I usually need to have a bulkier jacket to fight the chill when wearing it , opposed to my other winter jackets. I’m more of an athletic build so the solution could be buying a Small opposed to medium. Overall, great jacket.

Overall a good coat -- Having fit issue
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Large
Bought the XL and it was too huge. I'm 6 feet tall and on the skinny side and XL is generally my go to. I exchanged it for the Large and its a much better fit. Arm length perfect. Torso great. The only issue is at the neck line. Fully zipped the darn thing is almost choking me! I put up the hood and that relieves the pressure and feels great. But who wears their hood all of the time? Coat is warm and all that. If I had tried them both, the XL and the L, on in a brick and mortar store I likely would have purchased neither...

So, so good
I just returned from reporting on a blizzard in the Sierras for a national television network. I spent most of five days outside in blowing snow in the low 20s (Fahrenheit). This jacket is incredibly comfortable. I was warm and dry the entire time with just a midweight wool layer underneath. The hand pockets are lined with soft fleece material and are perfectly placed (not too high, not too low) for all-day ungloved comfort. The utility of the rest of the pockets on the jacket is awesome. Lots of secure, dry storage space. If I had one complaint it's that the zipper is sometimes challenging to engage at the beginning...like it's a little undersized for winter conditions. But once you've got it on it's like being indoors when you're outdoors. I'm 5'10", 195lbs and the Large fits perfectly.
