Avoid
I bought this for my girlfriend, and we were disapointed. Poor quality product (or might be a control quality issue). We see through the jacket, very thin. We returned it.

Roomy, so one can wear a sweater underneath. Very lightweight in feel but keeps me warm. Didn't make any annoying noise when I walk. Glad I purchased it.

Great lightweight puffy
I love this puffy, it's a great light weight shoulder season coat. It's light and thin enough to layer under a shell for cold days too. And I get tons of compliments on the color. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the plastic zipper isn't that great.

Lightweight and warm
This a nice warm jacket that is really quite thin, however it keeps you nicely insulated against the cold. It packs into one of the pockets and seems to be wearing well. My only complaint is a general one - I wish I could get a size smaller but my hips are too big for that.

Comfy and warm. Wanted something synthetic because I live in SE AK where it rains all the time

I Own Two!!! Soon To Be Three!!!
Best jacket ever!!! This is my go to for everyday life, backpacking, day hiking and worn under my ski jacket for extra warmth. I love this jacket. It’s lightweight, packs down small but it’s so warm. It’s made with quality products and holds up to most activities. It does shed some of material from inside like a down jacket but that’s not a big deal for me. The price is right especially if you’re on a budget. Great job OR, I own two and planning on another.

This jacket is super light and easy to pack and carry. I ordered the white one and the only con I would mention is that you can see the stuffing in the coat when you hold it up to the light. The white material looks a little see through in certain lighting. Would highly recommend other than that.

Avoid the yellow color

I bought this jacket for its features and color. When it arrived the jacket looked patchy or stained, almost. Looking closer, I saw the material was so thin I could see the gaps in the filling of the jackets. It might have been less noticeable with other color options, but the poor quality of fill made me question the jacket in general. I have other OR products that I love, and have bought from Backcountry before. I returned this jacket for a refund, which was a pretty easy process. This could have been a one-off experience for me, but it was a little disappointing coming from some brands I really support.

Overall nice, but fragile fabric

I bought this coat for a trip to Iceland and the Faroe Islands (currently 9 days into a 3 week trip). On the 4th day of wearing this coat, generally covered with a rain jacket, I noticed a tear on the right elbow. So, I have to agree with another reviewer that the fabric is not durable. The hole is covered with duct tape and I will contact Backcountry on my return home in 2 weeks. On the plus side, the coat is much warmer and wind resistant than expected. Also, it's very light weight and compressed into a relatively small package. I'm just really sorry that it ripped on the 4th day I wore it. I would not purchase this jacket again as a result.

A great jacket for transition seasons
Love this jacket. Its warm with no bulk. Its so lightweight I forget I'm wearing it. It breathes great on hikes and packs down small when the sun comes out. I ordered the Naval blue and the color is beautiful, not as boring as black but still neutral enough to match any outfit. The fit is very flattering. I have long arms and most sleeves are too short but this jacket is perfect!
