Warm vest and great down alternative, but my only complaint is it's rather puffy.

Love this vest!
This is a great lightweight mid layer. I got this vest because I wanted a warm mid layer without down and a hood. This checked all the boxes. I have loved using it for alpine and backcountry skiing, and snowmobiling. My only complaint is about the poor quality zipper. I have another OR vest that I've had for 15+ years. It has a very substantial zipper. I highly doubt this zipper will last even half the time as my other one. OR, please go back to using sturdy zippers! The weight saving is tiny compared to the durability and longevity of a good zipper.

Love this vest
Very light, very warm. It can be layered or it can stand alone. It is true to size. I am 67 years old, 5ft 2in, 115 lbs and I got the medium so that I would have room for a fleece or heavy sweater underneath.

Comfortable, Light, and Warm
This vest is lightweigh and very comfortable. A great length and overall fit. It doesn't poke my face around the neck (like many other vests or jackets). I purchased the sulphur for it's safety visibility. I am 5'8" & 140 lbs and the size Small is perfect. I gave it a 4-stars instead of 5-stars because I can see the down/fill material through the outer nylon fabric.

Love it
I've looked at women's vests, but haven't purchased one until now. Many of the other vests are puffy and I felt like I'd look like a marshmallow in one. The SuperStrand LT Vest is warm, fits comfortably and is attractive. The vest is just the right amount of warmth without all the puffiness.

Warm and lightweight
Super warm for how thin and lightweight it is. It immediately became a staple for both alpine and XC skiing in NW Montana. At 5'9" & 155 lbs, the large leaves plenty of room for layering underneath. One request- I wish they made one with a hood for the extra chilly days!

Lightweight vest for high output activities
Great for XC skiing, cold weather hiking, or cool walking around town. Very light weight and easily packable. I run hot when running, so this is too warm for me. I have wide hip and a small waist and the medium fits great. its not tight on the hips. Loving the giant zipper pockets.

A bit small for me
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- large
- Height:
- 5' 7"
- Weight:
- 175
I bought this to go under an on-area ski insulated coat for a bit more warmth. While the large did zip up, it was just big enough around the hips wearing my jeans and one light shirt. With ski pants, long underwear, etc. it would have been too small. Big enough (extra) around the top but that is not unheard of for me.

Really nice...could be better
I love this vest (and the jacket/hoody version, too), but I have to take one star away for the lack of a chest pocket. To me, that's a major flaw; I need that chest pocket for easy access to my phone, chapstick, map, etc). If I'm wearing a climbing harness (often), the side pockets are useless. Please add a chest pocket! I'd also love a hood on this vest. Otherwise, great colors and fits well.
