Defective Battery
Gloves heat decently. However, one of the batteries only lasts for 50-60 minutes. The other lasts twice as long.

Perfect for people who get cold hands
This is my second pair of heated gloves from OR. My first pair work so well, I needed something a bit lighter. The Sureshot checks that box. Perfect for light to very cold weather (for Wisco that's at and below freezing), for all sorts of use and applications such as casual wear or skiing

Sizing Way Off
I ordered the gloves, using my standard glove size, and they are wa too small.

Bad batteries or bad gloves
won't heat for longer than 45 mins on LOW. PLUS they are not warm all over the gloves.

Beware of Sizing, Run Very Small!
Typically OR gear fits true to size and fits me well. I own various gloves and mittens in size XL and they all fit great. Likewise with OR clothing. However, these particular gloves fit VERY tight. They are NOT XL in size. In addition to being tight everywhere, the fingers are super short. So for a really expensive pair of gloves, I haven't been able to wear them and can't comment on their long term heating ability in the field.

Good glove for casual events only.
These gloves are quite effective for casual strolls in town or social gatherings with friends. However, they fall short under extreme conditions and are not waterproof, so additional waterproof layers would be advisable. Another point of contention is their sizing chart. I found the large size too restrictive in the thumb area, whereas the XL seemed overly spacious, almost half of an inch around the fingers. The sizes appear to vary significantly. I initially purchased both the large and XL sizes, but eventually returned the XL. On the upside, the gloves do keep your hands warm and largely align with their advertised function, although there is room for improvement in terms of waterproofing and sizing.

worth having, but tweaks still needed
We actually got these primarily for driving our electric car, since we don;t want to waste car battery power to heat the interior. One tip I learned is to turn them on to high a few minutes before putting them on, and that's when you really notice how warm they are. THe lower settings are too low to warm up cold hands, but great for maintenance so warm hands stay warm. My 2 complaints are that the battery life seems to be quite a bit less than advertised, and the fingers feel really chubby, so they are not as comfortable to wear as we hoped.

A good fit for me
I think these gloves are a bit of a niche offering for someone who is looking for a very specific balance of heat and dexterity. I can definitely see how people would be disappointed with them as they are not super-warm. However, as someone who gets cold hands very easily, they are the only solution I have found so far to being able to do things like operating my camera and drone in winter. I previously tried just about every kind of non-heated glove/mitten you could imagine and none of them worked as I could never get sufficient dexterity in a glove that kept my hands warm enough. These OR gloves keep my hands just warm enough, while I have just enough dexterity to do what I need to do. They may not be the perfect solution, but they are the only solution I have found, so for that I have to give them a good rating. While I bought the gloves specifically for camera work, I have also been enjoying using them for: 1) Cycling to work in winter 2) Snow shoeing (it's good to be able to dial down the heat as you warm up) 3) Driving (since my car is old and takes about 20 minutes to heat up!) 4) Extremely cold weather (in combination with mittens) I would not recommend buying these gloves if you are purely looking for warmth, as I expect you could buy mittens for half the price that would be about as warm and wouldn't require charging.

Product Broke
I wrote a 5-star review for this after using the gloves for 1 month (see B Brown review). Unfortunately, the product broke after being used for only 2 months--the on/off switch stopped working on the right glove. Worse, when I called OR for service, they said I would need to wait 4 weeks before they would even respond to me! I expect that with some back-and-forth when they finally get back to me, plus mailing delays, it would be 6-8 weeks before I would see a replacement. By that time, the cold weather would be over. What's the point of cold weather gloves if they aren't available in the winter?
