Best hat ever. This is the second iteration of this hat that I've owned, lost the first somewhere. I have a smaller bean and this fits well, but I can also wear it over a ball cap when I need to be toasty and keep the sun out of my eyes, as a plus the hat does not stay stretched out afterwards. As stated in the review title, this hat is approved for use in arguably the coldest place in the lower 48, tested at -33F with a breeze (today was chilly), no issues keeping my ears & shaved head toasty. Will buy again when I lose this one.

Loved it, until...

This is a super cool beanie. It is stylish, sleek, and warm, all while being breathable. This was my go-to beanie until it was washed and dried by a family member (keeping it vague to protect the guilty). Unfortunately, it shrunk and fits like a yamaka. However, that doesn't stop me from wearing it inside on weekends while cleaning or cooking. I loved this beanie

Great quality, kinda snug fit

Love the materials and construction feels solid, very high quality. The fit is *almost* too snug, hoping it'll stretch out just a little bit.

The hat is warmer than a double layer merino wool beanie I previously wore. The internal head band adds protection and the wool is thick. I'm a pretty normally sized tall man. 6ft2inches , 215 pounds, average IQ, and it's pretty tight on my skull. My glasses were compressed tightly for the first month of use, but it's slightly stretching. I'm glad I bought it. I've worn it down to about 10f (excluding wind chill). I bet it'll be good down to -10f or lower.

Best beanie for the winter!

love the lambs wool for its super warmth and so comfy. you would think wool might be itchy but this lambs wool is quite the opposite! use it daily on my winter walks with the dog!

Family fights for this hat

This is our all time favorite wool hat. It is amazingly warm for the thickness (thank you, boiled lambs wool!) and the fleece band inside keeps it from feeling scratchy on your ears. It fits my big 7 3/4 noggin and my wife's 7 1/2 and our daughters 7 1/4 just as well. Really, it's a fabulous hat!

Nicely constructed but did not really fit my coconut well... tight at the rim and loose at the top.

Nice fit and feel!

Great fitting beanie for me, but my head is probable a size M in helmet or about 7 1/4 in fitted hat. It has an amazing feel and is the perfect warmth in my opinion. So far no gripes except for the wool is quite as soft as some merino knit beanies from say Ten Thousand or On, but it isn't scratchy either. The fleece lining around the headband is clutch.

Super warm hat! Runs small (one size).

This is one of the best beanies I've ever owned. It keeps me warm all the way from the Western Plains of Minnesota to the desolate tundra of Antarctica for all the jobs I do. I've owned at least 5 now since I tend to really beat them up, but that's over the last 7 years and I usually own 2 at a time. The biggest precaution is DO NOT PUT IN A DRYER. It's mostly boiled wool and WILL shrink. I've done it by mistake before... not paying attention.
