I was skeptical that this lightweight Houdini could really help in any way but I couldn't resist trying it so I bought the color on sale and off I went, into a brisk wind, storm clouds coming in, and 40 degrees. I wore a light base top and a very light fleece vest and topped it all off with the Houdini. I started walking and thought I would probably have to go back after a short walk due to getting too cold in the strong wind. But this super lightweight thing that feels like a tent actually worked to block the wind! What?! I was very impressed and could have kept on walking if not for darkness coming over my trail. Great product, not only for runners. I think I will be able to keep this on without ever getting too hot. It's almost not really there but then when the wind blows, it turns into a super power tool and feels like being in your tent. I got a size up. Normally I wear a large. I like the sleeve length because I can tuck my hands in at the ends until I warm up. There is a drawstring stretch cord at the base. Personally I don't like chest pockets so I'll ignore that and maybe cut off the little pull cord on it. I do like the big center zip that makes this an Anorak. There are two front pockets with a velcro closure which could hold a mitten or tissue but they don't really work for your phone because the jacket is super light and the phone pulls it down. Overall I am happy and wish I could have a second one in another color.
