Why We Like The Insulated Powder Town Jacket
When our morning resort laps start feeling like a polar plunge, we zip into Patagonia's Insulated Powder Town Jacket. The synthetic fill traps in precious heat to keep our muscles primed, while the hood slips over our helmet and the hem cinches tight to block out icy gusts. Built completely with recycled fibers, this shell gives us those warm feels inside and out.

Fantastic Jacket for Winter Adventures
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- XL
I couldn't be happier with the Patagonia Insulated Powder Town coat! This jacket has kept me incredibly warm and comfortable, from hitting the slopes to running errands on a freezing day. The insulation is top-notch, providing just the right amount of warmth without feeling bulky. The thoughtful design features stand out—ample pocket space, an adjustable hood, and an excellent fit that allows freedom of movement. It's also waterproof, which has been a game-changer during wet, snowy days. And, as always with Patagonia, I appreciate their commitment to sustainability and durable materials. If you're looking for a versatile, stylish, and reliable winter coat, the Powder Town is worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Odd sizing
- Size Bought:
- L
- Height:
- 6' 2"
- Weight:
- 200
I'm 6'2, 200 lbs and wear a Large in Patagonia. This jacket fits like an XL, it's baggy and long, and the sleeves are baggy and comically long, like 3-4 inches too long. I actually double checked the tags because it felt like they'd sent me the wrong size. Outside the the sizing, this is probably a great midweight jacket with the quality you'd expect from Patagonia, and the blue color is 🔥

Great Jacket
- Familiarity:

- Large

I recently purchased this jacket to replace a warranty return on an Eddie Bauer down jacket. That was a great jacket but the zipper blew out after a year and a half or so. Great jacket but very happy they stood behind their warranty. I used the return amount to purchase this jacket to be used as an all around winter jacket and midwest downhill ski jacket. I can't speak to the longevity since I haven't had it that long, although the build quality with Patagonia is always amazing (this seems no different). I typically wear a Patagonia L in their jackets and ordered the same. Seems to fit perfect with a little more room than I'm used to with their products. I'm 6'2" and 190 pounds so relatively skinny. The zippers are all high quality and the outer fabric seems very tough. I have no doubt it will last and have never had an issue with Patagonia repairing anything that's broken. I still have other gear from them thats over 5 years old and going strong. The insulation seems sufficient with extra in the arms and less in the body. Temp can also be regulated through pit zips. My only request (and this is minor) is that they add another snap layer for the powder skirt. I'm pretty skinny with a size 34 waist and would love to be able to tighten up the skirt in heavier powder. Otherwise this jacket is perfect as is with great wind and rain protection as well.
