Great shorts, but get a dark color

I've used the Nine Trails shorts for years (since 2010). I used them for many ultras, day to day running, swimming, backpacking, etc. They were great. So, I was a bit upset that they updated them. Nothing was wrong with the original. Now that I've tried the new ones, I have to admit that they are almost as good. I would have left the zipper on the back pocket, but other than that I've got no real complaints. However, I got the "vessel blue" color. They look great dry, but when they get wet, the color changes completely. That means when you run, it might look like you peed your pants. If that bothers you, get a darker color.

These are extremely comfortable and lightweight. I have ordered other colors and use them all the time for my workouts and even just lounging. Highly recommend.
