I'm always pleased with my Patagonia purchases. These pants didn't disappoint. They have a flattering fit (I'm 5'3", 120 lb, and I ordered a size 4/short). They hit at the base of my ankle. They're light weight, but you can always wear leggings underneath for the winter. They aren't rain pants. You cellphone will fit in the side pocket which zips with a bit of effort.
