Sizing is Difficult to Manage for This J

I'm 165 cm tall and weigh 142 lbs. I initially bought size M, but it felt too tight around my chest. Later, I tried size L, but it was so large that I couldn't even reach the pockets—they were located below my thighs! Compared to another jacket from the same brand, the L size of this one is significantly larger. I recommend buying two sizes to try and choosing the one that fits best. Unfortunately, since I purchased from overseas, I didn’t have this option, which was really disappointing. Thanks!

Love the coat but….

I don’t hate the coat but I hate that I was taken advantage of. Purchased the coat during a buy an item at full price and get 20% off. I didn’t get the 20% off and during a chat with the company they advised they would give me 20% off next item because I had already received the item. The jokes on me because this was a splurge for myself and don’t usually spend this much on any one item.

Runs small especially if you want to wear anything heavier underneath so size up one size--normally an XL the XXL gave that little extra-needed room. Love the color. Fit is nice even if a curvy girl. Great price!

love love love but runs big

No wonder they call this a coat not a jacket. It's warmer than I thought. I regret I didn't believe the detail "Item runs large, so we recommend sizing down for best fit." If you read this, PLEASE SIZE DOWN. Even it's too big for me, I still love this coat. I'm able to fit a Patagonia light down jacket underneath. I got a XS for my 10 year old girl, it's too big for her too, but she loves it. XS is a tight fit for me. So, size S would be perfect. The only down side is unlike the other Retro X jackets, this coat's 2 side pockets don't have zippers. So, be careful when you put things in side pockets. The chest pocket is big and very useful. I bought the red jacket and love it. So nice and roomy and warm. I can be outside in 5 degrees and it’s still nice and warm. It’s roomy enough to out a sweatshirt or sweater under it. I want another color.

I really love this jacket and the red color. It's cozy and very warm. My only caveat is how big it runs. I'm normally a medium in Patagonia and other brads, but it was gigantic. Even the small is a bit oversized but I kept it because of the color and coziness! As a reference I'm about 5/8 and 145lb, so anyone who is typically a small would absolutely find this too big.

I couldn't spend a lot of money on a jacket but I am new to living in the mountains and was definitely not prepared for how cold it can get. This jacket keeps me warm and the three pockets are such a plus! It is so warm and comfy without being too bulgy and it can keep me warm as the temps drop to 30 degrees F or below. I got a medium even though I am probably a small so that I can layer up underneath when needed.

Cut Wasn't For Me

The shoulders in this coat are cut very full but bottom is slender. I ordered my usual medium size but the bottom was so snug it felt confining when zipped up. It wouldn't work to order larger because the upper part of the coat would have been huge. The fabric was beautiful and the inside felt very silky. I'm disappointed in the cut so I had to return it.

I love this jacket! It’s the perfect amount of roomy and the shroom taupe color is way better in person. I was worried the natural would get dirty too easily. The inside lining is soft and feels great with just a tee. It’s warm enough without layers for running errands but fits a sweatshirt comfortably without looking too bulky. I have washed it once and it came out great, maybe even a little softer. No shrinkage. The only thing I would change/add would be zippered pockets. The pockets are lined with a soft fleecy like material but they are just open and my phone has fallen out a couple of times.
