Poor built-in belt system
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 35/Reg

Patagonia had a great idea by having a small ribbon sewn inside the waist ban that can be tightened and loosened to act as a belt. However, the ribbon's attachment point came undone quickly and the entire ribbon came out of the waist band. Feeding the ribbon back into the waistband and repositioning/reattaching it would have been a royal pain the @$$, so I gave it back to be repaired. When I received the fixed product, I wore it for 2 days before the ribbon once again detached at its attachment point. I am in the process of exchanging these for a different style of pants (one that has belt loops)

Sustainable Comfort w/ Movement

I love the pants, I actually am ordering a second pair as Im writing this review. I love that these are made from recycled/repurposed fishing nets, and certified as such - this means something to me from a value perspective and its worth me choosing this pair of pants over a few of the competitors out there because of just the sustainability aspect. Minor Negatives: 1) The 'belt' webbing does not stay in place and its constantly loosening at the hips (not to big of a deal because the pants are a good fit on my hips 2) The 'belt' webbing end finds itself lost in a very tiny hole and when that happens its really really hard to retrieve (and if you do not, you cannot fasten the webbing to tighten on your waste). Positives: 1) SO COMFORTABLE I CANNOT EVEN EXPLAIN 2) The material is soft and doesnt do that thing where it looks completely different after the first wash and dry

Good pants, stupid waist adjustment
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

Good material. I cut a short hole (1/4” slice) in mine shortly after getting them and the fabric hasn’t frayed around the cut. Also a good design, very functional except for the waist adjustment. The drawstring only goes part way around the waist and unevenly bunches up the extra material over the right hip.
