Why We Like The Patagonia Wavefarer Hybrid 18in Walk Short
For one short that we can surf in, grab food in, and relax in, we pull on the Patagonia Wavefarer Hybrid 18in Walk Short. The low-profile stretch waist gives us daylong comfort, while its front tie lets us secure our fit in pounding surf. Out of the water, the nylon construction dries off quick, so we don't chafe and leave puddles as we roam.

Very very short
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
The outseam measures about 16.5", not 18." As a tall, long-legged, skinny person, these are way too short to just wear around. I'll still use these for swimming, but they're far shorter than a walk short should be--and far shorter than advertised. These also have a weird fly/closure system...a zipper fly, an ineffectually tiny piece of velcro, and then a standard boardshort drawstring on top of that. There's a lot going on and it doesn't quite work.
