V2 Improves on the V1 Just Enough
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 10 Liter
This purchase updates my original, V1, 10L Sling for a couple of reasons. First, while the V1 could take my 13.5" laptop, my newer 14" can barely cram into the space due to the interior height of the pocket. Still a little bit of a tight squeeze, but it's fully inside the V2 now and that also makes the corners of the laptop safe in the event of a drop or something. One of my nits to pick on this and the new 7L Sling (which I bought to update my V1 5L) are the battery pockets. In the 5 and 10L V1's, the pocket tops were stiffer and sliding a battery in was a one-handed task, and now it takes both hands. A design flaw from my experience. The new exterior fabric feels slicker, a little more upscale than previously, and both the inside and outside pockets remain roomy and function. The dividers have been a design feature copied by many, and while I don't use them to their fullest, suffice to say they set the standard and seem to continue that position. I tried a few other brands of slings to see if I wanted to switch from PD, but when in hand and comparing, while one brand I really liked the way the bag itself worked, the laptop sleeve was mostly exposed and seemed to make carrying one awkward. I don't always carry a laptop, but when I do I want it protected. Double Zippers: I like this a lot. I work hard to minimize what I carry, and for, say, real estate work put my camera w/ultra-wide lens attached, into a center section, with a small pocket on each end for accessories. In fact, this new sling not only swallows my laptop entirely inside, but my 650-level flash, which I had to tilt over to fit fully inside the V1 bag. Not so this one. Carry of PD's slings remains a high point and worth praise. I know some people criticize this and other slings for failing at shoulder carry, but that's not the way the slings are designed. Carried as designed the PD 10L remains comfortable and a decent enough work platform when standing on the street changing lens and/or battery. I sold my V1 after receiving this one, for $85, which, after six or so years, is a laudable amount for a camera bag that's been used often, still looked almost new, and will likely please the new owner for years to come. All in all, PD Slings are why I update them only when something improves enough for my purposes, and the slightly taller interior was big for me.

Perfect daily bag for work and photography
I recently upgraded from the v1 10l sling to the v2 sling, and I am really enjoying it so far. There have been some improvements in how the space is utilized, and it feels like there is even more room. I can carry my laptop, a camera with multiple lenses, and a coffee cup. It's pretty fantastic.

Brilliant messenger bag and like the Tardis
I use this for a nikon z8 with 24-120, 70-180, 14-30 and 40mm lenses plus filters, 4 batteries and my ipad pro - really comfortable to wear all day when travelling. Easy to get gear in and out. Water-resistant even in heavy showers. I love it. Also really secure fit with the peakdesign tripod

Fantastic Quality Bag
I have bought three items from Peak Design, and I absolutely love all of them. I've bought the Everyday Sling 10L, which easily fits my Canon R6 Markii along with two long lenses. It is compact and light, and stylish. Every time I receive something from Peak Design, I am thoroughly impressed!

Years of abuse and still going strong!
Been using this bag (10L version) for over 7 years as a full time wedding photographer and I absolutely love it. I’ve abused it, tossed it around, hiked in the pouring rain, and put it through all kinds of situations and my gear was always safe: I can fit my canon 5d mark iv, 35L, 50L, 85L and 135L along with multiple batteries, memory card pouch and a few other miscellaneous items. I’ve always hated the over the shoulder camera harnesses, so this was the perfect solution for me. The capture clip mounted on the side makes for a perfect place to stash the camera for a second without having to unzip the bag. And the clutch strap comes in “clutch”. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I was getting on here to order another one and thought I would throw out some props! Great products!

Peak Design truly lives up to its legendary reputa
’ve always heard about the legendary quality of Peak Design products, but the Everyday Sling I recently purchased is out of this world. The design, functionality, and attention to detail are on a completely different level. If you’re looking for the best way to carry and protect your camera, you simply won’t find anything better on this planet. It’s comfortable, durable, and has all the right features to keep your gear safe. Highly recommended!

Almost perfect
Great sling bag (6L) with a couple of things I wish Peak Design could change. One is the inside soft pockets found on the side. When I pack the bag and put my camera in (Sony A7R w a GM prime) the soft pockets keep getting pulled down. Two, I wish it had a bottle compartment, maybe try adding it to the bottom if the sides can accommodate for a 20oz bottle. Other than that, great bag.
