It's fine, but I don't love them

Familiarity:: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these to have a second pair of shoes (my other shoes are Bontrager Foray) These are well made and fit fine, but I have to spend some time getting the tongue to sit right every time I put them on, and the hard edge of the tongue digs into the top of my foot a bit. Not terrible, but annoying. The sole is quite hard and slippery when I use them on the road. I almost fell the first time I came to a stop and put my foot down. Again, not terrible, but not great. Kind of a problem going up and down the stairs in my house when I'm leaving and returning The one feature I do appreciate is that the cleat is recessed enough that it doesn't contact the ground when I'm walking So, I don't love them but I'll keep using them when my Forays are wet

Nice Fitting XC Shoe

Familiarity:: I've used it several times
Size Bought:: 45/11.5

Bought this pair recently to replace a tired pair of Specialized Recons. Fit and performance are great but they squeak on the small platform part of my Time ATAC clipless pedals. Rubbing paraffin on the mating surfaces takes the squeak away but wish I didn't have to do that.
