Why We Like The Adjama Harness
Pitches on pitches on pitches—it's so nice to start the next pitch of climbing right where we ended the last pitch, as opposed to cumbersomely carrying our climbing rope across a dusty crag. There are a couple things multi-pitch climbers look for in harnesses that sport climbers do not—comfort and gear storage. The Adjama Harness features Petzl's EndoFrame Technology, which uses a wider waistband made of thin foam and sewn-in webbing. The adjustable leg loops have the same technology, and the result is a well-supported, surprisingly comfortable harness that's without any pressure points when we're hanging at belays.

Was hesitant to replace my previous generation Adjama since they changed the sizing, but I'm very happy with this new version. Fits great, is comfortable, and has ample gear loops.

Great Harness

I bought this harness about eight months ago and I'm super happy with it. Super comfortable, plenty of big gear loops, easy to adjust, and looks really cool. Unfortunately I got a size too large, and didn't realize until I really started using it and breaking it in. I bought a size just small enough to fit new, but after belaying, taking whips, and hanging in it for a few months, it stretched just enough for me to have to decide to buy a new harness. I still wear it if I have enough layers on and it works well enough to keep me safe, there's a just a little too much room in waist sometimes. I still highly recommend the harness to anyone looking for something that you won't have to upgrade in a long time.

I've had mine for a year and I find it very comfortable for belaying and hanging. I haven't taken any big whippers with it, but I don't see any reason it'd stop working well. I belayed in it up to 5 hours a day for days this winter, and it never rode up or dug into my back. After a while I forgot I had it on. Sizing chart seems on-the-mark. I only wish the leg loops would tighten up another inch or so. I never use the 5th gear loop because I don't do trad, but it might work nicely for a water bottle?

The Petzl SAMA and ADJAMA harnesses are comfortable to hang in, they enable your body’s full range of motion on gymnastic-like routes, and promote good airflow between your body and the contact points. Check out the Petzl video that reviews the features.
