Why We Like The Pivot Shuttle SL Ride SLX/XT e-Bike
From sending big lines to all-day singletrack epics, the Pivot Shuttle SL e-MTB is ready to tackle whatever we throw at it. We have always associated Pivot with high-performance mountain bikes, and this bike is no different. With an ultralightweight frame and 9.3lb FAZUA Ride 60 motor, this e-MTB has the crisp handling we crave from a carbon trail slayer but with the added bonus of being able to go further and faster than ever before. 132mm of DW-Link rear travel is bolstered by a Fox Performance Float X shock for endless traction on everything from technical, mossy climbs to loose, dusty descents, while the 60NM motor helps create a playful, responsive ride without feeling like we're riding a dirtbike. And in the off-chance we find ourselves miles from the trailhead with a drained battery, the Shuttle SL's motor is nearly drag-free with the pedal assist turned off.
The Pivot Shuttle SL Ride SLX/XT ride kit builds around a combination of XT and XTR Shimano 12-speed drivetrain parts for a high-performance, durable kit that won't break the bank when it comes time for maintenance and replacement parts. A Fox Performance 36 fork gets an e-bike-specific tune and 150mm of travel to absorb big hits, while a set of 29er DT Swiss M1900 wheels help us roll up and over just about any obstacle in our way. Pivot smartly spec'd a pair of 4-piston Shimano SLX brakes for when speeds get a little out of hand and an E*thirteen Vario dropper post with adjustable travel so we can dial in our perfect riding setup. The Pivot Shuttle SL Ride SLX/XT e-Bike might look and ride just like a trail bike, but it is ready to carry us to places only a motor can get us to.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
