Kinks all the time
The replacement tube has been the absolute worst... The tube material is way too soft and it kinks constantly! Things that have made it kink: -Being in a full pack and having some pressure against the bladder. -Making a turn from the top of my pack to the hose hole. -Making a turn from where it exits my pack to the shoulder strap clip. I just finished a 3 week hiking trip, and I had to stop and open up my bag to delicately re-arrange the hose repeatedly and just hope that it wouldn't kink again. It was incredibly frustrating! I was already frustrated by the price of the replacement hose, and honestly this experience has destroyed any and all trust I had left in Platypus products. Not sure why they changed the hose material but it was a very bad idea. The reason I replaced the hose in the first place was because the lever on the mouthpiece of my original one broke right away. That was some years ago, and I had been using the mouthpiece from some off brand bladder for years since I had to replace it in a pinch and couldn't get a replacement mouthpiece or hose in store anywhere. I was lucky that some off brand uses the same irregular hose size. It was incredibly inconvenient that I couldn't just grab a new mouthpiece from REI. I hope this product team gets their act together someday, but honestly I'm not going to waste my money any more to find out.

too short
This hose is about 3" too short. I was looking for a regular hydration bladder hose for use with a backpack. There wasn't one. So I had to settle for this weird model with a quick connect in the middle of it. Whats the use of that?? Who knows. Just sell a hydration bladder hose that is full length with the quick connect at the END not the middle.

Too short
I couldn’t tell before I bought if it would work and it didn’t. The product naming didn’t quite match up. Or maybe there was some other way to install it?

Previous model was much better
I had a 3l big zip LP for years, but the on/off valve got crushed so I got this new one. Its pretty crap. The prior model had a clip-in drink tube at the bottom which could swivel. This ensured that it didnt leak. The new one is just stuck on, and leaks in my pack. the new on/off valve is bulky and stiff, hard to turn on/off. And last but not least the new reservoir tastes of plastic. I’ve rinsed it out several times and refilled it and it still tastes disgusting.

the new fast flow mouthpiece is Great! But there are no instructions for adding the included extension tube to the assembled tube which is much too short (and I'm only 5'6").

Misleading Description/Imagery
I purchased two of these expecting to get the product depicted in the product image. The product I received is missing the female part of the quick release system and the bit of tubing connected to it - in other words, it is not a complete replacement for the Evo tube system. The image on the package is the same as the image on the website. Either someone is not assembling this SKU correctly or the marketing/advertising department isn't communicating effectively with the manufacturing department.
