Works for me
The house end that attaches to the bladder is all I really needed , as I had a mishap with my original one. Would have just bought that if it was available for purchase.

Platypus Drink Tube
Product worked great, and delivery from time of order was speedy. I was going on an extended trip and just wanted to update my older drink tube which still works just fine. I wanted to take a newer one just to be sure. (Couldn't figure out what the purpose of the black thingy that came on the tube was so I never used that).

Needs a few things
I wanted a simply hydration system that won't leak. Am trying this one, as I already had a platypus flex bottle. This needs a shutoff valve, I had one from an old camelback so I cut the tube and I put it on the tube. I also can't imagine not having a bite valve cover to keep it out of the mud when you lay your pack down, so I got one to go with this. It would be nice if this product came ready made with both. So far, it seems to be working fine now

Identical replacement part
Stellar customer service helped determine that this was the correct replacement tube for my hydration bladder. I destroyed my previous tubing through neglect and it is super nice to have a shiny new (clean) setup.

I would recommend this product
I used this extra tube to attach my katadyn water filtration pump directly to my platypus 3L bladder during my fall elk hunt. It was an excellent addition to my water kit. I never had to remove my bladder from my pack. Just unscrewed the tube running through my pack, screwed this one on and attached the other end (minus the drinking tip) to my pump and started filling.
