Not taste free

For me, this has the same foul taste of every other bladder I’ve owned. I clean things well and live a healthy lifestyle, so I don’t think it’s me. Also, it leaks a bit, no matter how tightly I close it. Also very hard to fill with river water on the go. Disappointing.

Good value.

Well made and affordable. Could use a shutoff for the mouth piece to prevent leakage. Still good value for what you get.

The material is very good quality, I don't taste the plastic used. Though I have a few issues with design: 1. I have to take off the hose to refill it. This is a pain when doing a long hike, taking up time and making organization difficult. This also makes it harder to clean. 2. There is no cover for the mouth piece. Whenever I have to set my bag down it gets dirt and dust all over it.

Fantastic

Had my Platy for many years and its absolutely brilliant. Still fresh clear tasting water. Now looking for a 2nd one for my daughter for our bike journeys so she stops trying to drink all my water

hyflo bite valve has no hole

Hi there's no actual hole in it- how do I get the water through? I don't want to stab it with a knife...

Yet to be used

Gave these to 4 people at Christmas time..... they were very pleased because they said the old ones had a stale taste.... won’t be used for a number of months

The best one we have used

Great lightweight and easy to use reservoir. Durable and we like the bite valve versus the one u have to manipulate to open

Beats heck out of the jury rigged soft-bottle I’d been using. Ensures I stay better hydrated. Light as heck. Tip: Just ensure the hose, where it exits the cap, is routed in the plane of the reservoir and not at an angle.

Lasts forever, amazing product

I have had my Platypus Hoser for more than 15 years now and it still works great. It's the two liter version, very similar to this one. No complaints ever, easy to clean, light weight, and very durable. My version even has "patent pending" still on it. And a logo with a Platypus illustration, which I love! Thanks @Platypus for all these years of joyful and well-hydrated hiking and biking thanks to the Hoser :)

On my holiday in the US I bought an new hoser reservoir 3L in an outdoorshop. Unfortunately it turned out that the connecting part was ruptured, must be damaged when still in the package. So when I put in water it sprayed out. Unfortunately I cannot use it because of this leakage. And because we are travelling I also cannot go to the store I bought it.
