It holds water.

- I've put it through the wringer
I bought this for its intended purpose: Hold water, on a bicycle, when I'm riding the bicycle and also give me the water to drink when I want it. I've been using it for 10 months or so without fail. I didn't buy it to transport liquids inside of a bag. Maybe that's why I'm having so much luck with it? FWIW these bottles are all overpriced but what can ya do?

Defective and leaky

While there seems to be a fair amount of people pleased with the item, it seems I may have gotten a defective one. I do like the ease of use and simplicity, but today was the 4th time it's leaked all over the inside of my bag. It simply doesn't contain the liquid properly, even when I took special care to tighten it and completely close the valve. The plastic threads just aren't water-tight. Bummer.
