Stay cool in extreme heat with the Base Layer 0 Mesh Sleeveless, an ultra-light, breathable cycling layer
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"When the temperatures rise, this base layer is my go-to for staying cool and dry. The open-mesh design allows airflow to work with my body’s natural cooling system, wicking sweat away and letting it evaporate quickly. The seamless, second-skin fit eliminates chafing and bulk under my jersey, making it feel like I’m barely wearing a layer at all. Even in high humidity, it keeps me drier than riding without a base layer, making long, hot rides much more comfortable."
When the heat is relentless, the Q36.5 Base Layer 0 Mesh Sleeveless is an essential piece of our cycling kit. Designed for extreme temperatures and humidity, this ultra-light base layer works with our body's natural cooling system to wick away moisture and accelerate evaporation, helping us stay dry and comfortable.
The seamless, tubular construction eliminates friction points and fits like a second skin, ensuring unrestricted movement. The open-mesh design enhances airflow, allowing heat to escape while keeping the jersey from sticking to damp skin. Whether we're climbing in the midday sun or pushing hard on humid training rides, this base layer provides the breathability and moisture control we need to perform at our best.

Best sweat and heat managing base layer
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I wear this both on gravel rides and trail running. It keeps me dry like no other layer I have owned and regulates temperature well. I often use a hydration pack, and this layer keeps the swampy feeling to a minimum. One other bonus: very little stank. I'm 6'0" and weigh 165 and the L/XL fits great.
