Excellent hardshell
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought this for use in the mountains of the American West. I have taken it up a couple of peaks and both times it performed greatly. Material doesn’t feel stiff and keeps water out. Plenty of pockets and the adjustable hood fits helmets nicely. Highly recommended.

Fit is great, material is quiet and feels nice, sheds water very well. Although the men's zipper is "backwards" from the standard, it didn't take long at all to get used to. The hood will definitely fit a bicycle or climbing helmet and is easily adjustable.

This jacket feels good with it's stretch. The blue is also really nice and the fit is great for a long armed person. I wish it had pit zips but the deal breaker is the zipper!!! What a terrible device to put on a good jacket. It's got a tiny two-way zippy bit to thread into and big teeth. I found it terrible to start and it does not get better as I zip it up. I don't have that kind of patience. I am fan of Rab which has batted 100% until now. As much as I need a rain coat and liked this one, I am not willing to fight a zipper like this.
