Understanding high end gore Tex shells are like space suits for ensuring mountain adventure enjoyablity this shell exceeded expectations. 2 inch’s of rain on trail one day 6 inch’s of snow another. Sleet! Even was able to wear it directly on skin while clothing was all in the wash. I have understanding you get what you pay for and membrane fabric has a life expectancy. I’m normally on the cheap but happy I ponied up for this for my euro trek. Was the piece of gear that insured my enjoyment of a lot more weather than was expected Thanks gore Tex and rab
