Disaster of a design flow

I have a 2024 Toyota Tundra and I couldn’t mount it by myself. I needed at least 2 extra hands. This product has a terrible design flaw that clearly wasn’t thought through properly. Instead of having straps start from within the truck bed, they put them on the outside. This requires fighting against gravity trying to shove those straps through tiny cracks between the tailgate and the bumper. What a disastrous design choice. Took me 45 minutes to attach 2 out of 4 straps and I gave up. Returning this item at my own cost :(

Great tailgate pad

Really like this pad. I have a Ford F150 which has a curved tailgate and with all the straps across the top, you can make it fit pretty well. The adjustable hole for the latch and rear view camera is great. It's well padded to protect the bikes and bikes strap in securely and don't move or flop over. Really happy for the price.

So far so good!
Easy to put on and take off. The side that comes in contact with the paint is very soft. We've hauled 5 bikes several times now and had no issues. The bikes never come in contact with the truck when the pad is on.

Well made, but doesnt fit great.

This is a very well made tailgate in all aspects,, but really doesnt fit a 2019 Ram 1500 tailgate. the tail gate is wide and variable thickness at the top the pad doesnt cinch well without some bunching of the fabric. The bikes feel very secure - overall I like the pad, but would have liked it to be more clear on the fit for the Ram Truck

Still not as good as the first

I?ve had several tailgate pads and historically the old raceface pad was the best I have owned although it didn?t fit newer truck tailgates and it would deteriorate pretty quickly. This pad is made of better and seemingly longer lasting materials than the last but doesn?t seem to hold your bikes in place as well as the old pad and it fits my newer F150 tailgate but not that well. I had the Dakine DLX before this pad and that seemed to fit my tailgate better but was definitely a mediocre pad at best. The old Raceface pad was a terrific pad even though it fell apart but this newer pad is a good pad at best that does seem like it will last longer. Hoping that the next rendition of this pad is just the tits.

I looked for the prefect tailgate mat and I found it. With my wider tailgate this covers it perfect. I like that it doesn?t cover up my back up camera. I recommend it.

quality, but careful of the fit

I bought the 5 bike tailgate pad for primarily my Toyota Tacoma. I thought I could use it on my Chevy Silverado but the straps are too short for the full size truck tailgate. Not sure if the wider one will fit, but I'm a little disappointed that this pad cannot be used on both trucks.

Worked great on my 2015 Ram 1500. Larger size opening that doesn?t at all interfere with the back up camera! Takes some maneuvering to get it tight and snug, but it works great!

Highly recommend this pad. Keeps tailgate and bumper protected. The pads keeps the wheel from scuffing the bumper. Also my rear camera is not blocked

Anyone use this and be able to use their tonneau cover and completely latch the cover into place?? (Of course this is when bikes are not in the bed)
