Alaska was no match!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 11

Bought these prior to a 2 week trip to Alaska. I wore them all day for 8 days without any issues - they performed fantastic. During the trip I often hiked 3 to 4 miles in and out of the water with no issues. In the water they were stable and provided good traction and support. Out of the water they were comfortable and easy to hike in. I highly recommend these boots.

I bought a pair of size 11 Prowler Pro Sticky wading boots for my son for his birthday. They looked like decent boots, and he said the fit was great with plenty of room and comfort. He is 5'10" and just about 130 lbs. "Great," I thought to myself, I hit a home-run with this purchase. Third time on the stream, we prepare to wader-up and my son shows me his boot. The side wall is already blown-out. I noticed the poor stitching is extremely insufficient for the (lack of) durability of the material. With only hours in his boots, in no way should they have failed like this. Now, they can't be returned! I've had wading boots for over 3-4 seasons with no sidewall failure. Usually the soles of the boots begin to peel warranting a new pair. Just plain shoddy/cheap assembly. This was very frustrating. I have lost faith with Redington and will no longer be purchasing Redington products.

Nice and light, but don't size up...
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'll report back after putting these to good use, but wanted to write a quick note to caution against sizing-up. I found conflicting info about how Redington sizes their boots -- you should buy your actual foot size, even if you're wearing stocking-foot waders or neoprene wading socks. These are built with a bunch of extra room. I wear mondo 27 ski boots (US Men's size 9) and Redington's size 9 is plenty large for me to use with stocking-foot waders and/or neoprene wading socks. If you go up a size, they'll probably be too huge. I'm initially impressed with how light these are. Much lighter than the Korkers they're replacing. I'll leave it at that for now.
