Not what I expected or exactly needed
It is definitely a roll and good quality and you can put tools in there. Its just not practical. Its too big to go into a frame or a saddle bag unless they are huge. It is not sturdy enough to attach it with a strap to the frame. I didn't return it but not sure I will ever use it.
