Why We Like The RIDE Insano Snowboard Boot
Sending steeps at mach ten, dissecting big mountain lines, and slashing deep powder—there's nothing that the freeride-focused RIDE Insano Snowboard Boot can't do. With its super-stiff flex and precise fit, this beast offers the support and response we need for riding fast and shredding hard anywhere on the mountain. The BOA Fit System featuring an H4 Focus dial lets us independently adjust the upper and lower zones of the boot in seconds so we get a perfectly locked-in fit every time, while the Impacto Elite footbed provides cushioning and impact-absorption for big landings off natural features. Made for no-fall zones, the Michelin Hybrid Traverse sole brings us confident grip over sketchy, icy drop-in zones.

These boots are super stiff. 10/10. Very straight leg, no forward lean built in. I had bad ankle pain and pain at the top of the foot directly below the boa lace “pressure distribution”. This bump in the tongue lands almost directly where the binding strap does. Any time I put work into the boot I was rewarded with pain. They are comfortable at a standstill, but once you are driving them, they bite back. The ankle cup is effective in preventing heel lift but the liner is too thin right at the center, allowing your ankle to contact the shell. I didnt like that the liner is laced into the outer shell in a way that it is not easily removable for drying. It is an otherwise well constructed boot. I just knew that no amount of break in was going to overcome the stiffness of the shell and my apparently bony feet.
