Grifn RS R8050 Ultegra Di2 Road Bike

When we can’t decide which discipline to dive into fully, Ridley allows us to choose both with the Grifn RS R8050 Ultegra Di2 Road Bike. No matter where our adventure takes us, this high-performance bike is up for any challenge thanks to its optimized carbon layup, hefty tire clearance, and unique geometry. The head tube angle is slightly flatter than that of a standard road bike and a bit sharper than a gravel bike, creating a geometry optimized for a blend of road and gravel riding. However, it keeps things aero with a D-shaped seat post and a diffuser fork crown that allows airflow to pass easily through the fork and to the downtube for minimal drag. 

To keep up with our adventurous riding habits, this bike is spec’d with the 2 x 12-speed Shimano Ultegra Di2 drivetrain. The addition of this electronic system provides stress-free operation, smooth shifting, and all-day riding comfort thanks to the high-performance components designed by Shimano. The dual control levers allow us to stop on a dime and shift between our 11-30t cassette and 52/36t chainrings, ensuring plenty of gearing available to conquer any terrain we encounter on our next riding adventure. To finish out this trustworthy all-road bike, Ridley opted for DT Swiss’s ERC 1400 carbon-fiber wheelset, a mid-height rim optimized for long rides on mixed terrain that keeps us riding comfortably and safely.
