Great Rack
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
RockyMounts makes really nice bike racks with similar features and lower prices than other major brands. Setup and install is super simple and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Excellent Rack
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I did a fair amount of research before purchasing this rack. My biggest complaint about 1Up and other similar racks was the lack of a proper lock. This has an outstanding lock that would cost over $100 if purchased separately. The rack is easy to operate and looks amazing. Branding visuals are minimal. I've used it with road and mountain bikes, and it works equally well with both. Highly recommend!

excellent rack for carbon bikes
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 2"
Pros: doesn't touch carbon frame. It locks onto tires. Carbon is extremely vulnerable to rubbing so a rack that grips frame will not damage carbon on long drives. Outstanding at locking bike in place. Tilt functions are awesome. Has feature that prevents rack from moving around in hitch. Works great. I really like this rack. I bought it because a bike company executive (who has deals with all the rack companies) stated it works great with carbon bikes. My son has owned this rack for years and loves it as well. Cons: extremely heavy and bulky. Overall: I really like this rack particularly for carbon-frame bikes. If I didn't have carbon, I might consider others just because of the weight.

Similar to One Up but better made
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
A few of my friends have One Ups and this Rocky Mounts version feels like a more polished product. The hefty included chain that locks into the rack itself is a bonus.

Perfect fit and built like a tank
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
No wobble with the pin setup, and super easy to put on, fold up etc. The included chain is super overkill too

So far so good
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Before penning down this review, I had the opportunity to use this rack about four times. Having experienced various other types of racks, I can confidently say that this one stands out. Not only is it quick and easy to securely mount your bike, but it also boasts the best aesthetics among its competitors. The rack is predominantly metal, with plastic only used for the notches that secure the arms in the lock position on the bike. I’ve been using it with my 48-pound Specialize Levo comp electric full suspension. While there’s a bit of wobble when driving over bumps with the bike mounted on the rack, it seems to be a normal occurrence given that the arms holding the bike in place are positioned over the tires. The rack comes with a fairly heavy chain, but the latch it attaches to feels somewhat flimsy. It’s sufficient to deter a casual passerby, but a seasoned thief might not be so easily dissuaded. Highly recommended,

Its a great rack!
A little background, I purchased this rack after having enough with my T2. My friends have kuat racks but I couldn't bring myself to buy their piston pro at that price point. I think this rack is pretty great, its well built and assembly is intuitive and easy. Its far superior in operation than the T2, it moves from stowed position to load position fairly smooth, however I cannot award five stars since its operation isn't as smooth as kuat racks I've used but way better than the T2. It's definitely wider than other racks but my bikes typically hang off one side of the car anyways so its not a big deal but something to note if you have a really small car. the ratcheting system seems solid and I like how clean the security is. I'm not a huge fan of cables so the fact that they include a chain is a big plus. I think this rack is a good balance between quality and price point. I went with this style since the typical arm style rubs into my fork and that was frustrating, not to mention anytime I tried to get into my hatch with my T2 it was annoying.
