Rossignol XC 5 Ski Boot

Set yourself up to explore winter. The X5 touring boot offers support, stability and control for on- and off-trail skiing. Designed for adventurous recreational skiers, the boot's tall cuff and lace cover seal out snow, while the thermo-moldable fit allows for customized comfort. A powerstrap complements the hinged cuff design for stability and range of motion, for a natural stride no matter where the snow takes you.

Great All-Around Boot for Casual Skier

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These are perfect for the casual skiier who likes to venture off the groomed trails, or wants to be able to switch between classic and skate using the same equipment. They are not fancy, and only have a medium amount of ankle support, so I would still recommend skate boots if that's what you're planning to spend most of your time doing. These are the right amount of support for my style, which is to skate on the smooth flat stretches and shift back to classic when the going gets tougher. I only wish they had speed laces!
