MTN Trainer2 Winter Mid GTX Boot
The Salewa Men's MTN Trainer 2 Winter Mid GTX Boot is built to perform on icy, snow hikes comfortably. Gore-Tex Performance Comfort gives its suede upper rugged waterproofing and comfy breathability, while wool surrounds the collar to cover you from snowy weather. Underfoot, a responsive footbed attenuates shock while the stiff midsole ensures solid stability on rough terrain. Vibram fine-tuned the Icetrek II Archive Grip for traction on snow=packed hills. Like all Salewa footwear, the MTN Trainer 2 Winter also features a 3F system to reduce the chance of rolling your ankle without inhibiting lateral mobility.

Great winter or base camp boot. Tread provides solid ground contact on slippery surfaces. Good support but not rigid or stiff.

Great boot!
I am super please with the fit, performance, and the warmth. I'm the guy who laces up a new set of boots and puts them straight to work. Virtually no break in time required on these which is a hige bonus!

This is a light weight nimble winter shoe with style and comfort. I find it to be warm enough for hiking and kicking around the city. I also wore them on a short snowmobile outing and found my feet to be on the edge of cold but not uncomfortable. The sole has reasonable grip in icy conditions. I would buy these again.
